As long as they spend their time actually crafting extra missions and choices and not shoehorn us into linear storytelling like DA2, I'll be cool with the delay. Otherwise, they're dead to me...but skyrim will ease the pain :D

I have patience, i can wait. There's so many games we can play while we wait. Duke Nukem and L.A Noire is out soon. We got some Skyrim coming up. Some Elder Scrolls also.

Totally saw this coming. I have so many games i'm trying to work my way through though right now and so much stuff i'm looking forward to this year that it doesn't really matter. I really need to get a grip on those drunk amazon and XBLM purchases :S

it's OK. there are so many games coming out this year. so far we have already enough new games within 6 months. we have rage, deux human revolution, duke nukem, the wicther 2, dirt 3, assassin's creed revelation, battlefield 3, gears of war 3 (for console kiddy), skyrim, and so on. so many games are coming. so ME 3 in first three months in 2012 is a good choice. just need to take a break.

Good, far too many games are spoilt by an obvious rush release.

Also screw mass effect MP, I mean seriously, no thanks, it wont make up for a watered down 1 player (which it inevitably will be with a MP component hanging on like an unwanted bogey)

More time for Skyrim AND more time for BioWare to spend time and really polish this off.

In the end, this is probably a good move. While I love Mass Effect, I also want it to be the best that it can be.

I knew that this would be delayed. I am glad they are taking extra time to ensure that ME 3 is as great as it can be. This not only gives me more time to play some of the games I missed from last year, but some of the awesome releases planned for 2011; before I play through ME 3 several times.

Also, with Batman, Skyrim and Uncharted all coming out at the same time, I'm frankly relieved. Plus another 6 months of development should do wonders. Scrapping the entirely linear, corridor-like shooting galleries and making them a little more freeform and open would be great!

To me, I think this is a good decision. Normally delays suck, but this is an exception. I want the Mass Effect 3 experience to be as perfect as possible, so if that means a few months more to wait, then so be it. Also, with the amount of games coming out this year, I'm glad 2012 has its fair share of big blockbuster games. Work hard Bioware!

It's truly is a shame that we won't get to gorge on ME3 yet but considering the fact that they're really going the extra mile to polish the game and truly make it the best in the series I can overlook the fact that it isn't coming out this year.

Inflammatory statement is Inflammatory.

As much as I love various Multiplayer games, I still get the most out of a finely crafted single player experience and the narrative it brings with it. MP could never replicate that same sort of emotional investment.

I for one am not too bothered about the delay, there is enough games out as it is, and I will struggle to get through all of those in time! We're definitely not left wanting for quality at the moment.

Mayb they made it a lil too DA2 and decided to fix it.. hahaha jk Pretty sure most of the people who made that pile of shit werent workin on Mass Effect..

Anyway, they are makin the game more like a shooter, or adding multiplayer! ie they are fine tuning and polishing mass effect 3 :) which is a good thing. i dont mind waiting for the 3rd one, i mean the 2nd one pretty much feels like it just came out a few months ago anyway

if it doesnt come out in jan or march next year then i will be super pissed tho

I always rpefer this kind of announcement over the "we brought back the release date EARLIER" and end up with a rushed out project. (Sonic 2006, Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands, etc..)
