With  Deus Ex: Human Revolution set for release right around the corner,  it's time to revisit the original classic.

Created by  Warren Spector, Developed by  Ion Storm Austin, and released in 2000 by  Eidos Interactive,   Deus Ex lets players take on the role of  JC Denton.  As this nano-augmented super agent begins his career for the United Nations Anti-Terrorist Coalition, players find themselves dropped into an ideological war involving the Illuminati, Majestic-12, and various other secret organizations.  No decision is made lightly, as JC must face realistic consequences for his actions.
The year is 2052, and the world as we know it is at stake.  Join Short Stop in determining the path of humanity, and help me make the ultimate decision for mankind's future.

Deus Ex was one of the first in a long line of successful  FPS/RPG hybrids to come.   Although earlier games such as  System Shock (also created by Warren Spector) helped to establish this form of hybrid, in the year 2000 this concept was still relatively new.  Deus Ex perfected the "genre," and games such as Fallout 3, Bioshock, and S.T.A.L.K.E.R could all stand to take a few more pages from Spector's masterpiece.  Despite being released 11 years ago, the original Deus Ex still holds strong with its deep story, and flawless mix of engaging and adaptive game-play.

Oh wow, awesome.

Wait, the original?
Pfft, whats the point? Why watch a game I can play?

Nice. I've been replaying the game myself. Got plenty of more time now that school is done.

Vanilla with sprinkles.  "New Vision" graphics/texture mod, as well as the Shifter mod.  Not changing anything drastic, just making things a little more interesting.

Because Deus Ex is the best Deus Ex game to date.  Are you implying you'd watch an Invisible War stream?  Also, the stream will have a built in chat room as part of the Short Stop streaming community.  We have about 30 streams and the focus is exclusively on video games, so it may or may not be interesting for you to check us out.

Same guy who did MGS3?

I <3 Deus Ex! Few games manage to match the level of deep emergent gameplay, subtly, and thought-provoking storytelling of Deus Ex. Cross our fingers to hope Human Revolution doesn't become another Invisible War. Not that I dislike Invisible War, it's a good game on it's own, but it was not a worthy sequel to the original.
