DAT HALO
I keep hearing people say Beaver Creek when talking about that one map we all know and love.
It was Battle Creek in this one, dammit.

It was Battle Creek, I wonder if anyone even remembers.
Soooo... Hang 'em High, Sidewinder, and Boarding Action.... nope? The fuck?
Edit: Battle Creek wasn't even that great.
@mikeeegeee: I'm pretty sure Hang 'Em High is in, watch the older trailers for this game, there is a small glimpse of it.
Soooo... Hang 'em High, Sidewinder, and Boarding Action.... nope? The fuck? They still have three unannounced maps. Those are pretty much what everyone is expecting them to be.
I hope some of the guys in this video get some more face time promoting their games and stuff. The "ten years ago" guy is a complete douche bag.
Oh man, it looks great. Really looking forward to this.

Oh man, I totally forgot about that map. I hope it's in...I had a lot of fun on it.I am deeply saddened by the lack of sidewinder.

They wanted to call it Beaver Creek, but Microsoft changed it at the last minute because they thought it was naughty. By the time Halo 2 came around, they could do what they want and named it Beaver Creek. Hell even the map file buried on the disc say beavercreek.map
Its like Christmas, but with grenades and heads shots. Ahhhh.......isn't that cute.
I never liked "beaver'' creek, felt too small even 1v1, but other than that this all looks like cool shit
and hi david ellis

Besides the fact that this is wrong, did you just make it up or did you hear this somewhere?
There should be a power-up to change the maps to Classic and back during gameplay. Just sayin'.
This remind me of the times playing Halo in french class in high school while our teacher looked at us in disgust.

Couldn't be further from the truth.

Nah, I'd say I'm pretty spot-on.
@Enigma777: Rehashing a few maps on an already aging engine isn't a game remake. They can make a pretty trailer and get people hyped up about their product but unless you've worked on it, been involved in the development process, and seen the final product like I have, I don't think you have any right to say that's how it's done.
@Helushune: Sure you have, buddy.
Anyways its a lot better than bumping up the resolution and slapping it on a disk like all the other guys are doing.
@Enigma777: Best part about my job is I can tell people what I've worked on and they all give me the same asinine response of "sure you have".
Prisoner? Really? Was never a fan of that map. Id much rather have Sidewinder and Rat Race then Prisoner which will just be way to jet pack happy for my liking.
I love how much work they are putting into this to both make sure it is the exact same, but still brings something different to every map/mode.
Im gonna pass on this game. Since I have no interest in replaying Halo 1, I don't wanna pay $60 for what is basically a Halo: Reach Map Pack. I will wait till Halo 4 to get back into the series

It's only like 35$.. pretty good deal
Major props to 343, has to be hard as hell to take a massively popular series away from the original creators and then to remake the first game that people already love.
Obviously, I can't say whether you really have. But why would you try and persuade people that this isn't a proper remake of the game? Because then people wouldn't want to buy it. When I think if you had something to do with the game or were involved with it, you'd actually would want people to pick it up.@BeefyGrandmole: Indeed. Working on Halo makes me sad.
It's cool that they're releasing the 6 original maps exactly as they were with a graphical overhaul and also releasing those same maps with some 343 touch to make them play better with Reach multiplayer. So, they're actually packing in 12 maps. I'll probably play the updated ones more but jumping into the oldies will be cool too.
Plus, adding marines to Firefight is a great idea. I'm really looking forward to trying that out.
Glad you guys dig what you're seeing. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on the entire game. On behalf of everyone working on this game I say thanks!
Seriously, I have not cared about another HALO game till this one. Pistol, 3 heads dead!? All old maps, even some from PC version (I sank 1600 hours into ). Timberland! Oh MAN!!! What a fantastic level that was!!! Can't WAIT!!! Hope they add all te new maps from HALO PC. Can't wait!!!!! I'm back in..
I personally am sad at the lack of inclusion of Chill Out....
I can't be the only one who adored that map.
All I would have wanted from a Halo 1 remake would be for them to improve the graphics and add online play. I don't mind extra maps being added, but not including all of the original Halo 1 multiplayer maps is so frustrating...it's seriously forehead-slap inducing. You don't release a remake of a game that doesn't include the full game. There are going to be people that buy this who don't visit gaming blogs that are going to be expecting to play Boarding Action, Derelict, Chill Out, and others, but they are simply not going to be there. And then there is the added frustration that this product does not include Blood Gulch because we are supposed to be satisfied with the mediocre Forge version included with Halo Reach.
