no matter how many times Nintendo does this, Zelda will never stand out to me as a "gold"-themed series
the first 2 zeldas were in shiny gold catridges... lol, the gold theme is the very essence of zelda
The tri-force? The golden Light?

Considering that Skyward Sword will most likely be the last Wii game I ever buy, now doesn't seem like a great time to invest in a new Wii Remote.
The Wii Remote Plus will be backwards compatible with the Wii U. I have a Wii Remote and the Motion Plus adapter, but I want the all-in-one which I don't have. It's a very good investment if you're planning on buying the Wii U.
Yes, well I'm certainly in no rush to get a Wii U.
And technically, the wii remotes are forwards compatible, by the way. Not something you hear too often :P
The gold controller I can pass on, but I'm loving that they're bundling the orchestral Zelda music in with all the games.

Doesn't seem really worth it. The Wii is past its prime and paying 20$ extra for a gold colored remote looks like a cash grab unless bringing it with you when you play your friend on their Wii U tickles your fancy...
Maybe if they made a Master Sword controller...
Well consider that this was mostly made for dudes like me, ones getting Zelda but don't have the required motion plus capabilities. If you're in that boat, it's not a bad deal at all.
Oh wow. This brings back memories of the Legend of Zelda gold cartridge for the NES back in the day.
Nintendo still got it.
Dammit Layton! Stop coming out with games which in turn forces me to spend money on a franchise I love but have little time to play.
I've only had one Wii mote since launch, Don't have Wii motion+ I'm gonna get this bundle for sure.
Yeah I'd get this. Might as well jump on that Motion Plus bandwagon, and I'm going to play my Wii again sometime (SMG2 ain't gonna play itself!)
I'll totally get this. I still don't have a Wii Motion Plus, so I'm going to need to get one anyways. Can't wait.

I want that CD more than I want this game.
You know you'll play the shit out of this game. Don't deny it.
Considering Mother 3 was about 23 hours long, I'll take that "100 hour" bullet with a grain of salt. Portal 2 had about as many good hours in it as your typical 100 hour game so I'm hoping its more like 23 hours. Not everyone wants to burn life away pixel hunting 300 trinkets and mouse mazing 150 procedurally generated dungeons.
Damn it !!! I hafta get it now ! I'm a sucker for Zelda orchestra music ...
@Max_Hydrogen: SHIT! Dude, sorry! I totally didn't see when you corrected yourself, even though I did go back a little on the comments, I'm afraid I passed right by it...
Again dude, really sorry, my mistake. I've deleted my other comment.
If you want to sell me a 3DS, Nintendo, just get to work on localizing Phoenix Wright x Professor Layton. I appreciate you still selling me Layton on my DS, but be a pal here. You want me to buy a 3DS, I want to have a reason to buy a 3DS, you could have a reason for me to buy a 3DS. Help me to help you by helping me object to Professor Layton.
@Musou: Did you read the three replies I left to other comments wherein I admit I misread the article and focused on the gimmicky nature of the Gold Controller without knowing it was a Wii Motion Plus controller and that IF ONE DOES NOT ALREADY OWN ONE AND ONE WOULD LIKE TO PLAY THAT GAME THEN YES, IT IS A GOOD IDEA. I read the article too fast and missed that part kinda like you read my earlier comments and immediately responded without reading the three (now four) comments wherein I explain my mistake... You know, the same mistake your guilty of?
DOES IT MAKE SENSE NOW?
While not precious, there's an even chance the paint on that Wiimote might contain some lead.

I like to think that since it's going to be the last Wii game I'll ever care about, I'm willing to put down some extra cash to go all out. Damn bundle looks fantastic. November is going to be great.
See, if you guys all bought a 3DS then maybe the wiimote would be gold plated. You only have yourselves to blame.
@YukoAsho said:Yeah, I feel ya there. Well, at least I won't have to worry about them after the Wii anymore. So, when do we get the games we actually want?Sadly, never.
Sorta funny Nintendo had to put that disclaimer about the controller not actually being made of gold.

Fantastic. Nintendo now has two reasons to take my money immediately. And a Brownie Brown Layton RPG?! Awesome. I've only played ten minutes of any Layton game ever, but that RPG sounds like an awesome idea.
Definitely picking up Layton and Zelda. Not personally gonna pick up Tetris as I don't have a 3DS, but it has promise.

I think the last thing I need for my Wii is a gold Wiimote. Kind of a neat preorder bonus though.
So, for $20 more you get a Wiiremote plus and a music CD? Sounds like a good deal for once.
Hey, guys? We know you wanted real gold in your controller. We're sorry. We're so sorry. We're really, really sorry.
"As a surprise bonus, the latest Professor Layton includes the Brownie Brown-developed Professor Layton's London Life, apparently a 100-hour (!) RPG, with visuals awfully like Mother 3."
What?!
