Pretty much this. I'd write a blog about how to write a successful blog (I honestly would. I even have the segments planned out and everything!), but I already have enough blog stuff going on already.

I haven't posted anything in a while (school, graduate program BS), but I'd usually put about a few hours into them. Just free write for a bit a Word processor and see what comes of it! That's usually the best way to go. Maybe have a loose idea of what you want to talk about...that works, too.

I wish I had the free time to just write inane blogs, well I guess I do have the time to write inane blogs but I wish I could write more thought provoking blogs. Maybe some well thought out structured blogs that would wow you with panache maybe this could help beef up this particular piece.

How much time does it take for those of you who write well written blogs, that are actually coherent? Do you spread out your work in short segments of writing, or do you just try and use as much time as you have and hope it comes out as well as you wanted?
