lol I was the guy who called in and asked about voice acting in swtor. I don't know why but when they started talking to me I choked and could hardly talk. The chat ripped me apart, deservedly so. I suck. I did get to talk to Vinny on hold though, that was awesome :)

The 3 bar system Dave is talking about is Health, Action, Mind - HAM! God old SWG was so good, all the bananas social stuff with great combat and the most brilliant crafting system in any game, MMO or not. Then wow came out and woops.

What little remains of the social classes in this game is probably what still kept it alive. Mixing music and making obese dancers is more fun than it has any right to be. The social classes went well with keeping the chatroom aspect of MMOs entertaining for people who liked, you know, talking to people instead of watching mobs die.

Basically SWG is what all the old MMORPGs were all about: being obscure games that none knew existed, played by people who mostly used it as a chatroom. Most people forget that WoW is an exception in the genre. MMORPGs weren't supposed to be played by more than 500 people cause they're terrible videogames by design.
