Time to endure!!
ETA: Scouts, the most dangerous game.
I must endure
And another spam of who will be first...
Nothing stops the... etc.
its funny when vinny casts bufu
The ocean palace music is incredible.
This run sure endures.
I love Ryan and Patrick but wow they are bad at this game. I honestly don't think they are going to be able to beat the Twin Golems. He isn't that hard when you figure out what to do but I know they won't.
"These guys I can just ... fight."
EDIT: "The three of them, i'm gonna Lightning 2 them."
I can't help but wonder if their TV doesn't show the top of the screen. It said four times "Don't use non-water magic on these dudes" and they are confused as to why lightning and shadow backfire.
Oh God, these Scouter fights are painful to watch.
PLEASE GUYS I'M CONFUSED AS TO WHETHER OR NOT THE ENDURANCE RUN EXPERIENCES THE EFFECTS OF INERTIA AND NEED ADVISING ON THE MATTER...?
Man, I feel sorry for them. If they would just read the blasted words that pop up on the screen, maybe they would avoid these situations. Though seeing them get unexpectedly spanked was pretty funny. That's what they get for getting cocky, lol.
We learnt a very important lesson today : LIGHTNING II BEATS EVERYTHING, RIGHT GUYS?
EDIT: I sure as hell am having a good Monday, Ryan.
Just wait until Chie gets God's Hand. If you think you love her now, ho ho ho, you just wait.
I physically cringed when Ryan used Lightning 2 on those Red Scouters... This was a painful episode to watch.
Through its annoyances I'm still enjoying this ER, but Batrick's constant second-guessing to show he doesn't know/remember the game resulting in the detriment of the game as a whole is pretty annoying.
I breezed through most of this dungeon (and the rest of the game, really) just using Falcon Hit.
But they have no love for Byla.
They give Brog the 75% reduction in MP, then constantly use Brono's techs that use a ton of MP. Even when Brog's the only one that has alot of MP left he's the only one they use regular attack with!
Good god Ryan is.. retarded? How does he function in life, honestly. People that compare this to the P4 run, J&V made some silly mistakes but nothing that makes you question their intelligence like this video here.
Bobo so OP
It's so true... I mean I'm sure 15 years ago I probably made some of the same Rookie mistakes, but It still drives me crazy when they talk about not knowing what happened when a battle text just popped up and explains exactly what just happened to them :P
What I'm really worried about is if they'll figure out what to do /after/ the Ocean palace, because I can't remember if the game gives you a strong push in the direction of what you need to 'fix' it if you didn't already get what you needed from the the fair in Leene's square at the begining of the game. It should be interesting though.
I'm with, well, everyone else, really. I'm lying here with a fever and thinking "goddamn, save MP you dumbass!" and also "no, you never did use water on those dudes. Use water!"
Also, no "what does the scouter say about his power-level?" jokes? Here's one: what does the scouter say about his power-level jokes? DON'T WASTE MP!
I'm with everyone else: How can they not understand the battle text? Do they play on half of a TV? What?
I love Mondays, but today is not Monday. Sie haben Kaiserfaust vergessen! Bryan is a graduate of the Whiskey Media School of Hard Knocks, magna cum loud.
They MUST be trolling us! No one can be that stupid, surely?
@Scarbearer: I played through that part again pretty recently and the game does tell you what you need, and who has it Not necessarily where that person IS, though. The guy at the end of time will give a hint as to where. They took note of the guy's weird name way back, but if they forget stuff from two episodes ago I don't think that'll stick.
Lol @ the end, they break the illusion of how far ahead this is being recorded.
edit: You can't get the item in question from the fair until the requisite story section, btw.
One of the best parts of this ER is watching Ryan and Patrick get punished for not paying attention. Loving it!
"But you cast water and it backfired..."
hahahahaha, oh dear lord
i always look forward to these :P
I can't watch this anymore. Holy shit.
Watching them play this game hurts my brain soooooo much.
@gosukiller: The weird thing, that makes me think they're just repeatedly not reading it, is that I *think* once the warnings showed up on the bottom. Surely they can't have both the bottom AND top of the screens cut off...right? Wouldn't someone doing the recording notice something, though? Maybe they got word that the game is kind of short, and are trying to pad it out.. It's a goddamn mess. I don't know who to trust and what my life means anymore.
haha ... oh wow
I could understand if they thought the blue scouts were ice instead of water, but they're just completely missing it. Also it's painful to see them neglect Barle, who learns haste which is very useful for bosses.
While this endurance run has been pretty good so far, these dudes need to take a look at a strategy guide and/or youtube walkthrough so they have a basic idea of what they are doing. Otherwise, they are going to be spinning their wheels when they get to the late game. I'm pretty sure that Jeff and Vinny used a walkthrough with Persona 4, because they got the good ending, and didn't miss anything that was too important.
A game that shows the elemental type of a monster with it's color? Why I never! Really makes me wonder how they'll deal with the Twin Golem. I hope to see some totally absurd, out of nowhere lucky win there. :P
Definitely enjoying it. The face palm moments and them discovering things are just amazing.
Yeah, this might be the worst combination of characters. I mean, I like Frog and Robo fine, but... Marle is sooooo good.
ryan doesn't see doors for somereason?
This ER is this best one yet, I laughed my ass of when they died to the same stupid shit again :D
@hardindr: I wanna say people just bombarded Jeff with info on how to get the good ending, so he just knew how. No walkthroughs or anything but they'd occasionally take peoples advice.
I can't believe they don't know who the prophet is.
They've been carried this far by how broken Robo Tackle is, I'm glad they are starting to get wrecked. It's only going to get worse and worse!
Every time I've beaten the game it's with these three. Really all they need is for Brog to get his other healing spell.
Ryan's going to get so much shit for this...
Oh man... it's so weird, early in on the game they were mixing up strategies and elements when it wasn't needed, yet now they don't for when it doesn't matter... Ahh, enduring indeed...
