@sofacitysweetheart: Patrick's fine, stop being an idiot.
Sorry Patrick, but this game is bad regardless of it being $10.
Anyone else having bad flashbacks to the Deadly Premonition Endurance Runs as they watch this?
Finally, you have realized the evils of Satan Claus. He was not a man to be trifled with.

Lana? Lana? LANAAAAAAAAA~
Amazing. I lost it when Patrick was running away from Chello at full speed. Great quick look so far. Chello is so creepy.
Darn it. Was hoping Patrick was being limited to Endurance Runs I don't watch :|
Good thing he doesn't star in Norwegian scat porn, you would have absolutely nothing to do.
Awesome Quick Look fellas. Not a buy for me, but at least my curiosity is now sated.
Every time I hear that dude talk:
Huh, looks kinda interesting. Not like something I would play myself, but I may watch a playthrough at some time or another. It definitely doesn't look as bad as it has been made out to be.
Siding with Patrick here. ANY of the Siren games are outstanding. I cannot recommend them enough for survival horror fans.
I can't express how hard I laughed at the creepy Cello parts.
Marcello is the greatest game character
Wait a minute.. Amy hacks, uses magical signs, is immune to whatever radioactive demon juice is flowing through the area, and can also get to places that her mother cant? So.. Short of hitting things with stick (which she's terrible at) the mothers useless.
"Some people don't like Patrick and think he is in too many Quick Looks, so we put him in a Quick Look with Vinny. WHAT NOW, BITCHES???"
- Giant Bomb
You know what they say about giant monster hands...
That they belong to giant monsters who will eat you.
Man, this game looks terrible. Reminds me of Deadly Premonition.
This is so Endurance Run-material.
Yeah, this game seems awful.
@AndrewB: Only 2012?!
Continuing to notice as in I noticed it before, and now it holds true in 2012.
Vinny and Patrick should so do a Endurance Run of this.
Hey writer guy. Stop being in videos.
Stuff like this makes me love dead space even more, those games are so much fun to play in the combat sections. Most other horror games never get it right.
Is it just me, or is Vinny a litle pedophilish?
An hour long quick look for this shit?!
Whine. Cry. Complain. They aren't Endurance Running the game I like! Waaaaaaah!!!They aren't playing the game as if they are reading a walk through! Waaaaaaaaah! I don't like the person doing the Quick Looks! Waaaaah!!! 99% of the people griping probably don't even pay a cent for this content, so why complain? If you don't want to enjoy the videos, articles, and pod casts on Giantbomb, than don't. Nobody is holding a gun to your heads. It is amazing how many people go out of their way to get their panties bunched up over the smallest things.
A zombie game? How original! (Looks like shit too)
This game is misunderstood. It's a parody of how horror games haven't progressed in 15 years.
What really annoys me about the reviews for this game is that there is no way all the major gaming websites would be so severe about AAA game from a big publisher. This game is obviously not very good, and I suppose this is related to the discussion Patrick was having about review scores, the only time they truly use the 100 point scale is to shit on small releases like this and it seems unfair - This game got 20 on IGN and they never normally go below 70odd for anything from a big publisher.
I like the character designs and the way Amy's hair bounces when she runs.
Nice CONGO-reference Vinny
This game deserves an Endurance Run. It looks... hilarious. And hilariously broken, the best kind of hilarious.
@alibson said:Man, this game looks terrible. Reminds me of Deadly Premonition.
That makes no sense. Does it look terrible, or amazing?
I really liked the demo for Blood Curse, but it's a download only title isn't it? I'd buy it if it were an on disc game because I don't think I have room on my PS3 for it and I don't think PSN would download it in any reasonable amount of time.
I died when he did that.
i kinda want to play this almost maybe oh god what's wrong with me
Eh, this looks...OK, I guess. At least for a $10 game. Not good, but not offensive either. The combat looks pretty bad, but it's not like you're gonna do a lot of it in a game like this. Keep in mind that I've only seen this part of the game, so it might get a lot worse, but from this the reaction to the game in the video game press looks over the top. Especially Destructoid's reviewer seems like he just played the spawn of satan or some shit like that.
Marcello reminds me of Ernest Borgnine's character Cabbie in Escape from New York. I see this game becoming free for PS+ users down the line.
@kerse: Dead Space is the first game I know of that showed people survivor horror can be fun to play.
What is it with horror games that start with train crashes?
Also, based on that font treatment, AMY is a sequel/prequel to MAG.
Amy is gonna be disappointed when she grows up and people don't constantly praise her for pressing buttons.
that does look like a typical warehouse mover/sled, so a person can move large amounts with them with ease.
not that that is a saving grace for the game.
Amy the gorilla from Congo. That's exactly what I was thinking of Vinny.
This is like that movie a few years ago with Bruce Willis... Mercury Rising! ...or something like that.

If your willing to import it, there is a boxed disc copy of the game (that includes bonus making of stuff not available here) that came out in Europe. You shouldn't have any issues playing it, as it doesn't seem to have any region locking.
ALSO, if you're really willing to go down the rabbit hole, the first game, called just Siren (of which the PS3 one is a kind of 'redo', but the first is still totally worth playing) came out in North America for PS2. And the second game, Forbidden Siren 2, while it only came out in Europe and Japan, is totally worth importing and playing on a modified PS2 or emulator.
I think you will find that the Siren series offers up one of the creepiest and most disturbing horror experiences you can get in gaming. Something of note though: since they were localized to Europe, get used to Japanese people with British accents. :)
"I was purposely being bad at the combat."
lol... i can't tell if he's being sarcastic or not.
Oh gawd, that stereotype guy. Really, game? And a psychic child? Of course.
This does seem like Deadly Premonition, a lot of ambition but not the skill/time to execute it. Also a lot of silly "videogame-y" weirdness, like the crawl space that's clearly big enough for the adult. This definitely doesn't have the right kind of charm though.
This makes me want there to be a survival horror with a small child as a protagonist. There would be a good reason that you wouldn't have the combat skill, but you'd have the maneuverability to run away and get through obstacles. Though it would be really difficult to make that work effectively, it'd be interesting to see.
