Damn he looks like Evil Ryu.
I think I will stick to DMC and Bayonetta ATM, at least those games have some replay value. Also, the gameplay seems very random and too easy (yes its only normal difficulty, but still..)

Not so enjoyable when Brad spends the entire quick look trying to hate the game. Yeah, it might not be amazing but after the first 15 off hand comments about how much it depends on QTEs and other shit, it gets annoying. WE GET IT YOU DON'T REALLY LIKE IT OR THINK MUCH OF IT. Christ.
Oh, and how ironic - Brad yaps on and on about how this game is pure QTE driven...and promptly goes to do a QL with nearly half of it consisting of direct control action sequences. Failing at video gaming as usual.
Sounds like you guys are complaining just to complain.

"Nearly HALF!?" Hahaha, oh man, how embarrassing for Brad! He must really have egg on his face now!

... derp.
This looks like it would be a blast to play with some friends in the room and a few drinks in everybody. By the end of the video, I was shouting BURST! along with Vinny and Brad.

The health bars that Brad mentions actually give you replay value as they will add new challenges.
From people needlessly shitting on the quick look to people needlessly shitting on the game, I am once again reminded that the only way to win the Giant Bomb comments section is to not read the fucking Giant Bomb comments section.
Congratulations, everyone involved.
I'm so conflicted, $60 seems like a lot for what this is, especially if it's only like 6 hours, at the same time though I absolutely love EVERY batshit insane thing about this game. I think I'll pick it up when it drops a bit. I hate saying that but yeah.
One thing I hope to see more of in games from now on....people learning new skills via headbutt.
Link, I'm looking at you >:D
I knew i had heard azuras voice somewhere, he is the Ghost from Starcraft 2.
Also Illidan from Burning Crusade and War from Darksiders.
lol. Brad is the worst in the world at playing tutorials! I'm so glad Vinny was here. How can he not pay attention to what is written on the screen? And being surprised at the "you need to do this 4x to proceed" when he's already done several of the tasks beforehand -- you have to try to be that bad at tutorials:)
I don't mind though, because it's entertaining and Vinny helps get Brad through it. Brad should always play with Vinny, who keeps explaining things that Brad doesn't get on his own or with other Giantbomb editors (though Jeff is great too, usually, at explaining and moving things forward when Brad is playing).
Fun QL. Asura's Wrath is a game I was interested in for sure, and now I have seen enough to know I want to buy it, though I won't get it quite yet. I want Binary Domain or Twisted Metal this month. I'll have to pick this up next month.

This is more like a interactive anime than a actual game.
Yeah, that's pretty much what they wanted to make.. and they were very thorough about it. Right down to constant credits, dramatic bumpers, repeating dialogue, pretty much everything one would expect.
Bout the only thing its missing is a karaoke intro with horrible Engrish for each chapter.
There's even an obligatory hot springs episode.
I hope there's a beach episode too.
Anyways, will definitely pick this up

you'd be surprised how much talking while playing a game takes you out of the most simplest mechanics like paying attention to words...espcially a game like this with god knows what is going on
I think I'll save my $60 ($80 here in Australia) and just watch the game on YouTube. As far as I can see I'll be getting the same experience.

This game does QTEs really, really well and if this bombs they ain't gonna have much to do with it.
I was interested when they showed the first trailer. When it became known that the game is basically a QTE-fest, I instantly lost interest. So yes, it has something to do with QTEs.
I wasn't interested when this was a character action game, but now that I know it has more QTEs and cut-scenes than fighting, I've gained interest. So no, my interest has cancelled out your disinterest. The reason I'm not buying it is the price.
This game seems surprisingly alright. Not enough so for me to buy it or even play it, but it seems a million times better than I expected.
If anything, this game certainly has style.
I don't think I could justify paying 60$ for it, but you could certainly do much worse with your money.
I liked that they played the part of the game that was the demo; I get to hear to compare their reactions with my own.
Man, this looks like something to just get excited for. Sure, there's barely any gameplay, but I don't think that's what this game is about.
This sold me on the game. I was giving this and Syndicate a hard look at Best Buy last night and decided not to get either and maybe absorb some more word of mouth on both, which is strange because I usually just grab a pile of new releases and drop them on the counter. I'm glad I watched the QL for both this and Syndicate, because it's made me even less interested in the latter and a great deal more interested in the former.
If Asura's Wrath and Bayonetta had a child, that child would be the best video game ever created.
I fell asleep midway watching this...I think that sums up how I feel about the game!
over-the-top SCHMOVER-THE-TOP. i would totally watch someone else play this for a while.
It's like someone at Capcom played Heavy Rain, did all the hits of LSD in the world, and came up with a game.
I like.
only if I could go to a local video rental store and rent this...... oh right its 2012 :(
It's funny - I kind of want to play this, but of all things, it's the combat against generic red vein gorillas that doesn't interest me. Those QTE's were fucking NUTS, and I kind of want to see more, haha. He destroyed a guy like 10 times bigger than the entire planet he was on!
Maybe I'll wait for a playthrough to hit YouTube or something. My money is on Brad giving this game a 4/5 - sounds like he's really digging the insane story, and the scale of some of these fights, despite the lack of input by him.
Wait
Wait a fucking second
Is the guy playing the fat dude the same dude who does voices for DBZ Abridged? Because he sounds JUST LIKE NAPPA and I just realized it
I know this is frowned upon but a Giant bomb movie night with Asura's Wrath would be great.
Hadn't been keeping with this game much. They totally made an anime in video game form. And doing Akuma's backstory it seems....I kinda want to play this!
