This week I'm only interested in trailers that include George Washington.

Posted by Fjordson

Looks just as dull as the first game.

They continue to sell so it probably won't happen soon, but I can't wait until we're past the whole generic "gritty military" milieu for shooters.

Posted by Superfriend

If that is the final cover art.. this shit looks weak. I take a "guy walking towards the cam while stuff blows up" cover over this thing any day of the week.

The tech looks good, but the content seems generic and safe. There wasn't much gameplay here though, so I'll wait for a longer demo. It was not encouraging to see they had fully lifted the cover image from Modern Warfare 2 for a promo picture at the end (video advertised in the right).

Game of the Year, hands down... and Bobby Kotick shot in the nutsack Boll style.

HAH! I don't think EA even knows what Tier 1 even means...

@TheZodiac: i disagree entirely!! of course there is going to be modern war shooters!! we are in that time period. even if they do go futher. its only probs going to go as far as the new ghost recon.

Yawn.

Take your jingoistic borderline racist bullshit trailer and stick it right up your arse.

What we have here is a trailer that's attempting to make out that Muslim terrorists revere special forces as if they're some kind of mythical force. They've basically attempted to make an entire race the grunts from Halo. I wouldn't be surprised in the game if they're shouting "it's the demon" ala Halo.

I honestly think they may have out COD'ed COD in this trailer.

It'll sell well at Wal-Mart.

Goddamned sick of these games, man.

Edited by Mr48

Goddamn it I'm fucking sick of marketers getting a hold of some phrase and then overusing it to the point of pissing me off whenever I hear it. Take your TIER 1 bullshit and shove it up your ass EA.

Posted by Chris2KLee

Sweet, JTF2. Canada gets some playtime this go. That said, looks pretty heavily scripted so far, but I'll let that slide since it's the first trailer.

Posted by Deusx

Another one of these? I hate this industry.

Edited by raikoh05

I like that the BF3 acog scope is in the game, will buy on sale.

the music is nice too.

Idk why people have to act so hostile, learn to ignore the things you don't like or you might go crazy. oh wait im on the internet, you are already all crazy.

Posted by crithon

you know, the Arabic voice work is weird with all the water sequences made me think of malasia, philippines or burama

Posted by Doltz

New BF2142 would be awesome. This, not so much...

Posted by NEOnuts

with that name sounds like a fighting game haha

Also OGA isn't a special forces unit why did they put that in there... strange.

Yeah but they do recruit and work with them and or use them. So I dunno, why not.

Bring on the Frostbite 2.0 beards!

Haha, yes! Perhaps destructible beards?

I like where you went here, but then you turned around made the Wal-Mart stereotype. Come on man.

finally the prequel to the GRAW games we've all been waiting for.

i think its pretty shitty that they are using the youtube interactive trailer endings for the raw trailers aswell.

cant take that much effort to make a separate trailer for youtube and all the interactive sites.

MEDAL OF HONOR: GUNSHOOTER

Posted by Zatoichi_Sanjuro

"Oh Allah help us! The shadows move like ghosts and somehow see in the dark!"

Ugh, indeed.

 Captured SF weapons after battle.
Edited by ArcLyte

EA must have a fucking mountain of expendable cash laying around to fund this guaranteed flop for a quick buck. The game could cost 200 million to make and i bet if they made that back plus 1 million when all is said and done they'd still consider it a success. fucking sharks.

Posted by Consaw

Needs more beards.

Posted by Skyfire543

Goddamnit EA stop with the modern millitiary stuff and make SW:Battlefront 3.

Posted by BisonHero

"They aren't even human." "They breathe water and change shape." "They see in the dark and are always watching." "As if they are shadows."

No, you effing idiots, they're just Americans with better training and better equipment than you. And I don't believe that anybody in any country has ever thought of US Special Forces like this. They're not the goddamn chupacabra. They're a bunch of people with guns.

So edgy.

That voiceover is offensive.

Enough with modern war games, they were stale 2 years ago. Time to find another time period.

Would the Revolutionary War suit you better? You can sit there and literally take a minute to reload. At least there would be cannons so you can decapitate people.

But what's with the title? I think it sucks. But the graphics look good. Love me some Frostbite2.

Devs need to start taking the "What if?" approach.

Like, imagine Battlefield 4 was Civil War II. American people verses the Government and what military they were able to keep on their side.

Yeah, cause the what if approach worked wonders for Homefront...

MoH gets such undeserved hate. I feel like the only one who gave it a chance and was pleased.

You must have low standards. It is a weak CoD clone and middling BF wanna be. The latter is saying a lot since DICE was in charge of the multiplayer portion.

Question, do numbers come out of guys heads when you shoot them?

i'm pretty sure numbers popped up in Medal of Honor (2010).

i don't think the premise was the problem with homefront.

The bad gameplay, underwhelming story, and bad execution on a formula that CoD has "perfected" and is making every year is.

if they made it better, i think it would work, but that goes for medal of honor as well i guess.

Posted by GhostStrykre

i'm really iffy on this. Medal of Honor (2010) was NOT a bad product. it was just an average product. DICE definitely did not put full effort into the multiplayer. the single player campaign, however, i found to be a lot of fun. yes it was cod-like, yes some of the levels were not as good as the others, but after getting about halfway through the campaign i was having a blast. the set pieces at some times were mind blowing. the graphical accomplishments were wonderful, and at times the gunplay was crazy fun. the sound design was solid too (the sound of bullets changed depending on the surfaces they struck, which is something a lot of games skip or do half-ass).

there was a lot to appreciate in Medal of Honor (2010), even if it wasn't terribly original. as a result i'm not writing this one off right now, and i'll wait to see how things continue to develop.

Posted by kycinematic

I really really hope they lose massive amounts of money on this. BF3 could of been amazing but little support, asshole twitter PR morons, and huge design flaws have basically killed my interest in mainstream FPS's - I'll stick to Stalker and Arma2 instead.

Edited by Blue_Cube

I don't mind it being set in modern time period but I think the whole USA IS DOMINATE thing has been done to death. They should do a Medal of Honor where you play as a South Korean soldier trying to keep North Korea from invading, or something like that. Mix it up a little because I'm not gonna pay to be some American apple pie war hero that will save the world from great evil, that shit is so predictable.

What no Tier 1 beards this time?

Posted by Dark_Lord_Spam

The "ignorant third-worlder" VO sort of made me uncomfortable. Like at any second he was going to start talking about juju or some-such.
