I expect they'll have the information once they've finalised it (which will hopefully be before the 7pm local start time, but these things are basically built on goodwill and community spirit* so it's all a bit of fun and you shouldn't expect unicorns flowing out of your screen if you decide to try and tune in).
* With a bit of 'if we give out free demo codes or trial/basic editions of our tools maybe we can sell some extra units next week' from some groups, but as they're normally the awesome teams who dedicate a lot of work to making the stuff they give out for free (basic editions, training and tutorials, open dialogue with everyone interested) that's a lot less sinister than the cynical might view it.
This thing is starting in a day, any news on live streams? checked the FAQ, nothing.
Has the identity of the person behind the Peter Molydeux account ever been revealed?
I'll be at the #molyjam2012 in Santa Monica. Anyone else going to this site for the jam? I'd love to meet other duders from the GB community there!
Also, raspberry jam is my favorite.
@steve86uk: I know it's crazy. I was just looking through the comments to see if anyone actually mentioned Capone. I quite like that he's one of the only people to edit his page and there's no mention of twitter. I'm not doing it, I like that there's no info.
People should listen to some of his old Joypod features.
Absurd and brilliant
If I had the Space Jam theme in my head then I would rapidly find a way to get it out. I would use a screw driver if necessary. And I don't mean the kind with orange juice and vodka, although that might work too and have considerably less tragic results.
Totally know what I'm going to build.
Its almost tempting to make the drive to Brighton to join in on this. Almost.
Warner Bros will copyright strike your ass using Space Jam, seen it happen on Streams
Hey, how's this for a #molyjam2012 tagline?
"#molyjam2012: All the inspiration you expect from Molyneux, with only half the disappointment!"
This has to be one of gaming's proudest moments. Hold on tight, boys, we're about to enter a golden age.
A little late, but I made this:
I once asked Peter Molydeux about Street Fighter X Tekken on Twitter
Looking forward to seeing what comes from this.
I'm a second year computer science student, this is the weekend of my Spring Break, and I'll already be in the area visiting friends.
I'm so fucking excited.
This is the first I ever heard of a game jam, though I'm skeptical that anything tangible can come out of this other than drunk game developers, I'll be following this.

You can tickle 'em...IN SPACE!
Sounds totally crazy but can't wait to see more.
Space Jam! Yes!
Oh this will be glorious.

All I know of him is Fable and to be honest it's far from impressive IMO.He made Populous, which was huge in the '90s and one of my personal favorites. He's also a very funny speaker (I saw him at the GDC last year). I've never even played a Fable game, but I really like Mr. Molyneux.

This. Also before Fable he was directly responsible for a lot of great games with varying degrees of innovation. Fable may not have lived up to all the hype, but its far from a bad game, in fact it's a pretty good one. I personally thought that Fable II was a great game, sans the ending, and I fondly remember playing through the co-op with my girlfriend and having a blast. But besides all that, Peter's just a good, down to earth dude.
This is the coolest/weirdest thing I've read about in a long time. Can't wait to see what comes out of it!
@patrickklepek The fact that you were a part of the reason this came to fruition is just awesome. If it's a big April Fools' joke, it is still awesome, but you're a crafty leprechaun.
Space Jam is still great.
This really is the best idea ever and it's actually happening.
It's not amazing until it WAS amazing, damnit.
I'm into the idea, but a bunch of journos throwing a dev jam and expecting everyone to turn up to the party because they thought a particular brand of joke was funny strikes me as kind of stupid.
Peter MolyDEUX is the world's funniest virtual personality who doesn't really exist. Ladies and gentlemen, the evidence:
This is weird and amazing in an absoutely wonderful way. Looking forward to it.
Not my Thing but I`m wondering what might get out of this hole thing at the End.
Yes. Yes. This is the best.
Signed up for the uk one, already know exactly what I'm gunna make. This is going to be AWESOME
I like that Patrick Klepek is part of giant bomb. I dig his unique happenings. This whole thing sounds interesting in a quirky/potentially creative way.
Damnit, you guys! Now I want to watch Space Jam all over again. Gah...
I'm glad the term game jam has been explained. I thought it was a big competition where people tried to out pitch each other with Molyneuxesque ideas for games, like a rap battle.
Man Space Jam is awesome.
I used to love space jam, but after they used it as the recent routine song for my schools cheer tryouts it has been ruined for me...can't wait for the molyjam though :P
When I was young I owned the Space Jam soundtrack. I listened to it every day for so long lol. Memories....
Thanks @patrickklepek for bringing my childhood back. I may just find that copy of the disc and add it to my iPod.
I honestly cannot wait to see what comes out of this. I expect plenty of nonsense, and possibly even genius games.
Imagine that you're ready to slam. You know it. Then imagine that, nah, y'all ain't ready.
"Imagine a game in which you ask others to join you to create games from fake Peter"
... there is absolutely nothing 'dumb' about this. using your twitter mojo to make such things possible: glorious!
That is awesome.
Dig deeper into Peter Molyneux?!
No thank you, sir.
Just going to leave this here.

IS IT TIME TO SLAM?
Love how it's tuned into "What Would Molydeux?"
I don't know what to expect out of this... and honestly I think that's great. The Humble Bundle Mojam was fascinating to watch.
@Mustachio said:Personally I like this version of the Space Jam tune. The game it's for is also ... interesting.Agreed. Barkley, Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden is a masterpiece.

This is amazing and I hope to hell that it becomes a yearly thing.
