I don't get it.
I want this so much! I've always thought there should be a controller mode in the Rock Band games.
This is like one of those YouTube videos with cleavage in the thumbnail and then there is none of it to be seen in the actual video. Where is the John Drake!?!?!?

I have to say I don't understand at all how this is played based on this video.
No kidding.

I feel like I was lied to with that image for the video on the front page.
You and me both.
I will definitely be getting this, I was a huge fan of rock band unplugged and this looks just like that
If they were going for VH1's pop up video look on that trailer they nail'd it. Kudos. ;)
Aw, I was kinda hoping it'd be more like Amplitude, with the whole "laying in the tracks" mechanic. I'm not as psyched as I was previously :-(
@kitsunezeta: I'm going to guess that all comes down to different licensing for on-disc and downloadable tracks. They should be able to work that out relatively quick.
@Korne: Who says it can't lead to that? Or hell this could end up being their spiritual successor.

Wow, tap buttons randomly while listening to classic and contemporary music.... "no instruments required" like that is a good thing? Marketing makes ultra :(
If you want to use instruments, there are literally 6 other Rock Band games you can play, and you can just look at this as a DLC pack.
heads-up for those NOT following the Harmonix twitter over at @Harmonix: The 83 songs from the Rock Band 3 disc will NOT be playable in Blitz at launch (even if you have the disc), and will not be playable until Harmonix gives an export option for the game. No Freebird or Bohemian Rhapsody on this quite yet.
RBN songs, however, are playable, which means your chiptune/techno/Chaotrope songs can be played in Blitz.
Man, this erection just will not go away.
Although, I do agree with the people saying there should probably be a third button in there.

No instruments defeats the entire reason I like Rock Band and Guitar Hero games to begin with, so no interest in this.
There's a movie marquee on the left side of the track advertising Eric Pope in 'Pope On A Pope'. I'd watch that.
@cbirdsong: Yeah, I totally get that. I guess I just really wanted a sequel to Amplitude, not just another way to play Rock Band.

I was conned into watching this video with false advertisement of John Drake!
John Drake's Tweet (Seriously, look it up!):
Fuck You Brad Shoemaker!
John Drake is real cool I was hoping to see him not giving a shit while also sorta, kinda wanting you to buy this but not committing to anything since he's probably on 2 hours of sleep and seventeen cups of coffee.
Looks kinda cool... but really, 2 buttons?
This should be another continuation of Frequency/Amplitude/Rock Band Unplugged.
I spent hundreds of dollars on Rock Band hardware. I want to use my instruments wherever possible AND impossible.
Dont have any rock band stuff anymore, but the songs, so this will be great:) cant wait!

John Drake is so ugly ,i just want to punch that ugly head,god...
Men caring about what other men look like. Pretty fucking homosexual if you ask me.
And for those looking for a full song playthrough, here's Bang Camaro's namesake tune:

It just seems like someone at Harmonix saw a picture of Amplitude and figured they could mimic it and this is that.
I would hope Harmonix would have seen their own game, since they made it.
I am unexcited about what the game play seems to be. But I will almost definitely buy it just to play the songs in Rock Band 3.

@Oddface: By making it a Rock Band thing, they get ~3500 songs available on day one, and can continue to support it going forward without having to license and chart music specifically for this game.
