The shuttle wasn't capable of going to the moon. Just sayin'.

Are you a highly trained engineer, or did you just watch an internet video and decide to be a dork on an internet forum?

Are you threatened by intelligence, or do you consider it a badge of honor to wave your ignorance around an internet forum?

It's simple physics, no intensive training necessary. The shuttle's rockets don't provide the lift to go to the moon, because the shuttle wasn't designed to go to the moon.

Random and messy, just how I like my Giantbomb.

A real shame about that NASA space sim though. What good is a sim if you can't cause some explosions?

Awesome, uploaded already! I missed it due to confusion on what time zone the "Coming Up on Giantbomb" was listed in.

It should be yours.

I love when Drew is away, these flight sims go from realistic to nothing but messing with the game. I LOVE it!

Posted by smiddy

They should have just played Kerbal Space Program and built, launched and landed a rocket of their own design.

Posted by HaltIamReptar

Thank god content with no Brad. Was starting to reconsider my subscription.

Posted by PiltdownMan

Wrong Ultima to get to Space, you apparently go to space in Ultima I and Ultima II.

Posted by Frobitz

A brave new world, that has such people in it!

Giant Bomb Flight Club, Assemble!

Moon meth lab. I laughed so hard.

Oh fuck yes. YESSSSSS.

Please read and do this, Dave, Drew and or Vinny!

Posted by Rasgueado

The only thing I was hoping they would look at was the LOPTW window. A frank reaction to using an in-game spreadsheet to help calibrate a flight path would have been HILARIOUS!

This video alone made it so worth getting a premium membership :D

Man, Doom 3 looks SO MUCH WORSE than I remembered, visually.

Posted by cikame

Damn i thought this was Kerbal.

Cool anyway, but you guys should totally look at Kerbal Space Program.

The first rule of flight club: Always crash in flight club.

Posted by Tamaster92

Go.... Flight club!

Posted by Death_Burnout

Oh man I wish they just played Doom 3 instead, that was great. Watching them fail at both Space Shuttle and Lunar Flight is not really fun to me without Drew there to be the voice of reason.

Though i find it funny how after all those space missions they land on Mars and everything goes to hell. Very fitting.

oh jesus, my very first computer had like two games on it: hugos house of horror and apparently ultima 8. I didn't know the title at the time cuz I was like 6 or something, but I remember this beheading scene so vividly. I have been trying to find out what game it was for so long. so thank you for bringing my over a decade long search to a wonderful close.

I've been laughing for the 15 minutes straight. Love you guys!

Live streaming the wedding?!

"I feel like we're falling"

Silly Dave! Thats what orbit is!

Posted by iamthetrav

i vote for 500% more flight club.

Edited by MordeaniisChaos

And momentum was the end of them. That and Vinny jamming the main thruster to slow down...

Edited by Quarters

Nice extremely random MGS humming at the end.

The capricious switch-flipping was really stressing me out.

Posted by MachoFantastico

Random PC game and Flight Club are two of my favourite things to exist on the internet. :D

Posted by CRM114

Lunar Flight is amazing. You guys should have me over so I can show you how to land a lunar lander without crashing at 11 meters a second.

Posted by adoggz

does this actually get good or it just them being dumbasses in the space shuttle sim the entire time?

Posted by thatdutchguy

i enjoyed this very much thank you Vinny and Dave

I believe that word disqualifies you from the quest.

Posted by Sarumarine

From fantasy to the near future, Vinny "Crash Test" Caravella and Dave "Rocket Man" Snider will be there representing the Flight Club. Thanks for the entertaining show gentlemen. Godspeed.

There was no shortage of crashing so it was a successful Flight Club.

"I think you don't shoot something for like 20 minutes" is a truthful statement about what Doom 3 thinks you want in a Doom game (for me, they were wrong)

I assumed you were waving conspiracy theories around, for my ignorance I apologize.

This is my favourite content on the site! Cant wait for Drew to return to complete the trio.

Posted by tallTuck94

It may be because i recently beat mgs 3 for the first time recently but i thought the best bit was the whistling of the mgs theme

Edited by TorMasturba

I had Matt Rorie singing the intro music to The Enterprise: "It's been a long road! Gettin' from here to there!" while they were were taking off in the shuttle.

Posted by justinsimonin

Next time they obviously need to fly into a blackhole, you know... to see what happens

Posted by Krixok

This is great. We need more of this.

Dave + Vinny + Ultima + Space. What more could anyone want?

Posted by FoxMulder

I bought that shirt the moment they showed it! Still think they NEED to make a hat too! TRACKIR!

Over an hour in and they still have no clue as to what they're doing.

This is fantastic stuff. Thanks for another great flight lesson Vinny and Dave :D

Posted by RVonE

I love it when Dave is freaking out over what Vinny is doing.
