batman's gonna beat the shit out of her. he don't give a fuck.

I don't know if I'd call Harley Quinn a bitch. She's annoying sure, but pretty harmless in comparison with other Batman villains. At least in the game.
She's kinda funny, even. Now, the Riddler, that guy's a bitch.
So fucking true. I spent the hours to get all the Riddler trophies mainly because I wanted to finally catch up to that guy and knock him off his high horse.

@l3illyl3ob: But why is that offensive? I don't think they are trying to say females are bitches, just her specifically. And if you can't call a villain of a comic book universe a bitch then what the fuck CAN you do?
I think Vinny knows a word they could use instead.
America, where you can't call a particular individual a name if that name has been used on someone or something else before. Because context doesn't exist in this universe at all.
What a bunch of squares. Oh shit, I just offended every para- and quadriplegic alive, which was clearly my intent. Get the fuck out.
You people complain about the staff way too much. Why do you even come here?
Also, I've never met a single woman who is offended by being called a bitch, beyond the fact that they were just insulted. I'm not sure why this is a problem now.

I wonder that all the time, but then I remember, people are morons.
I guess I missed something. When did "bitch" become a word on par with things like the n-bomb, or is this just the typical "nerds white knighting women on the internet for no good reason" scenario? Moreover, if you can't call Harley Quinn a bitch, then what in blazes qualifies the use of the word?
Really glad they are adding on story dlc, I can't wait to play it. And to all the people calling out sexism and the use of the word bitch, get over it. This game is not for little children, ESRB gave it a T, PEGI gave it a 16. There are plenty of other movies, games and books people can get their hands on that are way worse. The saying "payback is a bitch" is a classic phrase and I think it was used well in this trailer. People need to stop trying to lead some crusade against swear words. If someone is actually being maliciously attacked with offensive language its one thing, to be slightly referencing that a made up video game character, that is a villain, is a bitch, is completely different. Not to mention using the term bitch can in some ways be like calling a woman a badass, (a bad bitch) it doesn't have to be negative.

"Payback's a bitch" and payback right now is in the form of Harley Quinn. It's not rocket science, guys. This is pretty damn offensive. It's no longer thugs overusing the word, but rocksteady themselves just straight up saying Harley Quinn is a bitch in their promotional material.
You bitching about this as 'offensive' makes you a huge bitch. This trailer isn't calling YOU or your mother a bitch. So get over it, god damn everyone is made out of glass now. Say one thing bad which is not about them and they cry about it, fucking pathetic.
What in the blue fuck am I reading in here? You can't be serious? This can't be real........... is this for real? REALLY?!! People find something else to be offended about, seems like everyday someone is offended on the internet, goddamn.
Also, Harley Quinn is a crazy bitch, get over it!!!

Arkham city bored me to tears and I'm sure this'll do the same. So I'll pass.
It's okay, some people are bound to have shitty tastes in game. Thanks for letting us know.
I always liked Harley, even back in the TAS days. Gonna be interesting seeing her in this situation.
Though I believe the New 52 has her dealing with a missing Joker already. Curious if they'll take anything from that.
I'm pretty sure a homicidal maniac can be called a bitch with impunity. If we were speaking about Two-Face for example, a fucking honest to god serial killer, you could call him anything in the book with no one raising an eyebrow.
I don't see Harley as particularly neurotic. Two-Face? Riddler? Sure. Seems kinda weird.

Any reason why you are being an asshole? Internet anonymity make you feel big? You look like a 12 yr old with a small penis.

To be fair you did seemingly roll up in here for no other reason than to let people know that you didn't like Arkham City.
I wish they would've just (or hope that they will do so in the near/distant future) given Two-Face some more time to shine in the main game, or at least in a DLC. Was so dissapointed with how little he did in AC. But I guess Harley's an alright option as well...
Wow, people are really bitching about this? The internet never ceases to amaze me

Well there is a comment feature on this website and I thought I would use it.
I wasn't aware I had to blindly heap the game with praise in order for my opinion to be valid and avoid being trolled by an asshole or two.
@JohnDudebro: They probably won't though.
My problem with the word isn't even the negative connotations associated with "bitch;" it's that, at this point, it's such an overused cliche at this point that it's more groan worthy than actually offensive.
Hmm, I'm wondering if hentai-foundry has anything on her redesign yet.
Oh yeah, DLC. Great. *yawn*
@zggurat: Intelligence? In MAH GIANTBOMB??
It's less likely than you think.
While I'm not frothing at the mouth over the usage of "bitch," and I was certainly one of the many who used the argument of "context" during Arkham City's controversy, I can kind of understand where certain people are coming from. Considering that the word "Bitch's" origins come from a comparison of a female dog in heat, it's easy to see why people find that saying sort of demeaning--especially since the ad kind of supports that Harley Quinn is a sexual object (see: male gaze).
Either way, "Payback's a bitch" is a pretty shitty line regardless of its perceived sexism.
Okay, so, I'm more concerned with the blaring, droning sound that accompanied the words. That sound has been becoming more and more prominent lately. It's not quite the Inception sound, it's more metallic, but ever since I became accustomed to hearing it in ME3 as the "Reaper-Noise," I've been hearing it fuckin' EVERYWHERE. The god-damn reapers are invading every video game everywhere.

AAAArgh he included "bitch" in his sentence, abandon the planet, all chivalry is dead.
joking aside, i agree plus "paybacks a bitch" is a fairly well known saying.
Finally, the untold story of Harley Quinn being transported back in time, losing her memories and becoming Tira from Soul Calibur. Cause you know at this point I can't even tell the two apart.
*Puts in cigar and sunglasses on. Rockmusic starts playing*
Life´s a Bitch and then you die. Oh Yeah!
You guys need to stop being so proud of yourselves when you can tell Alex wrote the article/video headline just by the way it's written. It's super fucking obvious. Don't act like you're Sherlock fucking Holmes for figuring it out.
