Awesome stuff guys, looking forward to this QL
I've heard this name SO many times, and still have no idea what this game is.
Time to find out...
Like 4 seconds into this video and I'm already cracking up because of Vinny. Good show man.
I saw this pop up at the same time Patrick was talking about it on the bombcast.
Dark Tower talk, damn it's been a while. That series started great, and the first 3 books were fantastic and then it went downhill and I read the rest anyway but they kinda sucked.
Patrick's doing that thing again where he just walks around in circles and talks for the first few minutes.
Please stop doing that. :(
Odetta was most certainly fucking not the good one, Patrick. But it's cool, lol, dark tower talk is always welcome.
I'm not on a machine that can play this video back right now, but I bet it's not as good as this:

Detta was the bad one, actually. Odetta was good but kind of weak. Then the two personalities merged into Susannah...i think. As for the DT series, it got very erratic toward the end, and lots changed after King's accident, obviously. But I liked the ending...the whole endgame bit was some of my favorite writing King's ever done in fact.
Well I gotta say that after watching this I am certainly intrigued. Not going to purchase it tomorrow or in the next month but later in the summer, after I've finally bought Mass Effect 3 I could see myself getting into this, assuming I actually ever finish Skyrim rather than just run around, collect stuff, craft it, sell it, add more shit to my houses, & then repeat forever.
Fuck yes, Dark Tower talk. This quick look is automatically great.@stryker1121 said:

I thought the confrontations with the main villains were handled very poorly but the final final chapter was fucking awesome.
That song at the beginning has killed any interest I have at all in this game.
Barring what I think is still a weird and terrible name for the game, Dragon's Dogma looks pretty interesting. I may end up getting this though I wish this was coming on PC.

My favorite part of this video are the youtube comments of people getting very upset about America.
Kinda reminds me of Zelda. I like the fluidity of the animations and the combat looks like fun.
The atmosphere and art reminds me of a From Software RPG, which is a great thing in my opinion. Maybe silencing the banter would help it out. I want to play this.

Someone please make a gif of Patrick from 1:07 to 1:10
That animation and combat looks amazing. Too bad gameplay's just not important nowadays.

It's amazing how that ogre monster head goes straight through the tree.
This whole thing is just insane to me because Skyrim's world was boring as fuck. Why would anyone even use that as an example of a good world is beyond me.

I want this game, but not for full price.
I think I'll wait til it's 40 bucks myself. After all my birthday is in a month and a half.
Hopefully this being a Capcom game means we'll see a good PC port in the future. Those are some dated visuals though. Oh well, game looks fun nonetheless.
Looks pretty good, although that opening song almost made me turn to the video off. Intriguing stuff. 8-4 talked about this a lot, seemed into it.
What's with the aspect ratio of this game? The expansive world of Dragon's Dogma couldn't adequately be captured in 16:9?
Jesus christ.. if I play this game, I'm making the pawns STFU. And turning off that popup text.
I have an unopened copy of this game setting on my entertainment center. Haven't decided how that is going to go, lol.
Why does Patrick's character look like the Burger King?
Oh man, the E3 clip reminds me that this is Capcom's most expensive game EVER. It doesn't look terrible, but it seems like a disastrous investment.
Hey good quicklook, I felt like I learned a lot about the game. I was gonna get it either way come Friday, but it's always good to temper your expectations.
I'm with Patrick on the world looking drab and boring. The trees rustle like paper cutouts and the colors of the world are washed out. In some ways Oblivion was a better looking game. That being said I think I'm still going to check this game out and I'm not sure why. So much of it seems off to me.
