yeah not liking it
So much for atmosphere...
More like Dudebro Space.
Did Elle's rack get bigger or is it just me?
I guess they felt they had to imitate Resident Evil's transition to pure action
If Patrick thought giving him a voice ruined Dead Space 2....
@nonplayer yeah it seems too different guess we're gunna have to wait in a quick look or something
I'm unsure about the direction of this game. Just gonna have to wait and see how it turns out
Oh hey. Another EA sequel. Never saw that coming.
What the fuck are you doing EA!!! Just make another generic 3rd person shooter why do you have to screw with the fans like this?
She also seemed to gain an eye.
Man, what have they done to Dead Space? There is no space in this one. Also I wish we would have gotten a new person to play as. I thought the ending of Dead Space 2 was a good closer to the Issac Clarke story. Also I hate how dude bro the trailer made it out to be.
Still mite pick it up. but my first play through will be only.
Nobody likes you. Go home.
This continues to be the series that I simultaneously am the most interested in and want to play the least. The early 2000's hard rock at the end of the trailer doesn't help much, either.
I like it a lot. It's still high quality Dead Space. I am really liking this.
Groan. Getting kinda sick of this cooperative action bullshit in atmospheric/horror series' fear3, re5, now dead space..
Will reserve judgement.. the game can't be all like this.
Ahahahaha, wow. WOW. Video games, man, why the fuck do I still play them lol.
''Fuck this planet.''
I'd like to think that's some off-kilter reference to Event Horizon... Also I am highly surprised to see the negative reaction to Dead Space 3's coop functionality, given how apparently most loved RE5 for its coop and didn't give a rats ass for how it basically hammered the final nail in the coffin concerning what RE used to be.
Hard to tell if they left out the horror bits to make it a more exciting trailer, or if the stuff just isn't in there period. Though the co-op stuff is a bit...much.
snow is the cheapest way to make your new game look good.
So they made it Deadspace: Lost Planet?
From what I've read, (not much) I read that the co-op story mode branches away from the single player story mode. Hoping the single player story is more atmospheric and horror and less dude bro.
I hate that every game has to fucking have coop now, especially a game as atmospheric and single player focused as Dead Space.
@Yummylee: I think the co-op game play looks fine, it was their dialogue that felt wrong to me.
Look's like they're on some kind of... Lost Planet. Ahhhh?? See what I did there?
It looks like Lost Planet. The game. By Capcom.
Here's hoping they don't make a crap AI for Carver. I'm looking at you, Sheva.
Ag.. Grizzly McSpacemarine co-op partner, cover mechanics, human enemies and plenty o' swears for the cool kids. EA's stinking paws are all over this. Even if the co-op optional, why is Dead Space turning into yet another 'gritty' TPS? Who the hell asked for this?
Lost Planet of War Space 3.
They got Gears of war in my Lost Planet
So much uncharacteristic swearing and macho dude-bro going on in this. Whatt the fuck happened
So wait, is the entire campaign co-op? Because that would mean I'm just not buying it.
If there's a side campaign, hey, cool, as long as it's not the focus of the game. If I go to the main menu and the first option is 'multiplayer', I'm going to be real sad for at least thirty seconds.
So Carver is the Thing right?
I thought she lost an eye in 2.
Game looks fantastic. It looks like the Aliens of the Dead Space franchise. More action focused maybe but it's hard to say, it's just a trailer.
I don't know if you guys remember, but Dead Space 1 and 2 had some of the most balls out crazy action I've ever played. Excited for the Co-Op portion too, even though I love single player horror, it looks like fun.
So, people are upset that they're taking the "horror" out and just making an action game. What was the last good survival horror game you played? I don't see the problem with the direction they're taking the franchise. I'm super stoked to play this.
yup, looks bad.
Wow, that feels like it was made for Youtube at the end. Nice little boxes to fit annotations around that work as hyperlinks.
Feel like there's too much bitching about this. Looks like Deadspace. I'm sure there will be horror sections. More action orientated, but I'll give it a shot.
''Fuck this planet.''I'd like to think that's some off-kilter reference to Event Horizon... Also I am highly surprised to see the negative reaction to Dead Space 3's coop functionality, given how apparently most loved RE5 for its coop and didn't give a rats ass for how it basically hammered the final nail in the coffin concerning what RE used to be.
Yeah. I mean, horror is a hard momentum to carry. You can't have the same fear when you know your enemy so well. I'm not saying it can't be done, but it's certainly better suited to new IPs. Transitioning horror games to action seems completely natural to me.
Army of Two 3?
Stating the obvious here but horror doesn't work so well in games when your with someone else at all times.
In the gamespot interview they said in singleplayer it only has Issac in it. Carver shows up in story beats but he don't follow you around like in RE5. They also said the game has plenty of atmosphere and horror they just chose to show a more action part for the demo. I personally think that was a poor decision on their part.
Seeing this demo at first really put me off but hearing more about the game in that interview has made me feel a little better about it. I guess all I can do it wait and see for myself.
Loved DS1+DS2 but this is suspicious. Visceral should know better than to ruin it.
What happen to the dark scary atmosphere, this, THIS! It looks just like lost planet without the grappling hook and mechs....
Had only read small bits of information 'bout this one before...not sure if I'm liking it after watching the video. Not ready to already call it complete garbage either, though. Hopefully I won't ever have to, because I reeeeaallly liked the second game.
My my, the day the Survival Horror died
