Cool. Hopefully this doesn't disappoint.
Why does this exist
AMC's The Walking Dead Video Game of the TV Show About the Comic Official 2012 Blitz Deluxe Super Edition.
Maybe this will have Ellen Page in it too.
because license games, they sell.
Well you see, when a mommy TV company (AMC) and a daddy game company (Activision) love each other very much, little baby TV-Game is born.
Is there a person in the world that is actually excited for this?
They have a high bar to meet with how great the Tell Tale stuff is.
Gee thanks Activision, let's just flood the market with zombie games right? I hope it doesn't become a trend.
If this game is just FMV cutscene's of Michael Rooker yelling at me, then I'm all in.
I was born in '53
@munocard: Because of bath salts
I'll remind people that activision released Battleship: The Game.
Wow, that was dumb...
Well that turned me off.
I'll wait to see some gameplay but I don't see this turning out too well.
Do crossbows count in the Year of the Bow?
1. He's holding that shotgun all wrong. 2. In my opinion, no gameplay = WE HAVE NO IDEA WHAT WE'RE DOING
I'll stick with telltales version, thanks though.
I'll never understand why time and resources are wasted on trailers like this that convey nothing about the game. All you've told me is this game is coming. A press release works just fine.
@Lizzie323: Bows are the new explosions, didnchano?
Now if only we can get a movie based on this video game and then a fighting game based on that movie...
1. He's holding that shotgun all wrong.
I've never fired a shotgun so I'm curious, what's wrong about that?
Even for a teaser, that's pretty lackluster content-wise.
That is by far the worst trailer I'd seen all year.
Still not sure why this game needs to exist and if there is a sizeable audience out there that is really excited for it, especially considering the characters and story it will feature. Also, this trailer certainly didn't make me any more excited.
what an awful, awful trailer.
Not "The Walking Dead Video Game" but instead "The Walking Dead: Video Game."
It's very rare that we get an actually good adaptation in videogame form (Telltale's game). It's really unfortunate that they just had to throw this thing out there to damage that good will. I know it's too early to judge, but it's an Activision licensed FPS.
I don't know. That FF7 PC trailer is pretty bad.

If you hold a shotgun that close to your face, and shoot it, the chances are you're gonna fuck up your face.
When the world goes to hell... they'll still be making video game trailers that DON'T feature gameplay or pre-rendered cinematics. Thanks marketing people, I hope you get eaten first.
I like the Telltale game. I'm not a huge fan of Activision of late. These license game usually are poor quality, poorly funded, made quickly and with no particular inspiration; and it's far from rare that those combined lead to poor sales and the subsequent closure of a studio.
I'm not making any definite statements, it could be great, and for the sake of integrity I won't write the game off before I know anything about it. That said, this is about the most generic and uninspired pairing possible in video games, Activision making/publishing an FPS based on a popular license.
It's a pretty blunt business move and I hope it doesn't crash and burn like those before it, taking down the employees who worked on it in the process.
Finally! The long awaited sequel to the Redneck Rampage series!
what a bad trailer
Damn, did Kirkman sign off on this? Or does he not have any say since it's based on the TV show insead of the comics?
Light Gun Game?
i like the idea of daryl and merl kicking ass
year of the bow
I can't say much, because I probably couldn't do better, but yeah it's definitely not the best trailer I've seen. Far from it.
agreed. Merl is a raging racist in the TV show isn't he? pretty much (if not completely) a white supremacist, right? why would anyone want to play as that character?
Seems like a terribad idea. But its only a trailer. Guess ill see when it comes out if its good or not.
Wow, so this is going to be a prequel about the two hillbilly characters in season 1 of the show that didnt even exist in the comic book? I was really hoping for it to be a Dead Island type game where you could create your own character. To be completely honest, I feel like Dead Island has been the only game that I have played that truly understands what a survival zombie game should feel like and even that was flawed.
Well, the two of them are pretty much the best thing about the TV show.

A lot of people.
I'm sorry but that was increadibly cheesy. You'd think Activision could put together a better trailer than that...
Daryl is one of the few characters on the show I don't hate but I really don't have any faith in this game.
I saw that if you pre-order the game at Comic-Con, you get a Necklace of Zombie Ears.
So, yeah....stay classy Activision.
so we got to play as a raciest!
