Ive rarely bin less interested in a game after seeing a trailer. Bleak is all i can use to describe what i saw.

This really looks like a bad cash in on the current Dota/MOBA craze.

This made me facepalm almost as hard as that first CG trailer. They could not miss the mark more if they were Michael Bay making a film about Pearl Harbour.

Man the art style looks bad aesthetically as well as in regards to gameplay purpose. Making out units on that background will be a pain in the ass.

So golum is slark, they only showed 3 spell. I wonder if they have 3 normal spell + stats + 1 ult formula from dota or some sort of new formula. Gandalf only has 2 spells? This fails as a player profile video and god damn this game looks bad.

To be fair, it's a perfectly capable MOBA clone, perfectly suitable for console controls. The LOTR setting, however, is completely unnecessary. Also, from what I understand, there's no segregation between factions, so you can have Sauron and Gandalf fighting on the same side against Galadriel and Gollum, which is kinda stupid.

EDIT: The gameplay looks fun, but the narration is creatively bankrupt. Shut up and let me watch the game!

I know it's part of the fiction of lotr but, just the way they deliver it. It just sounds so hokey, like a bullet point on the back of the box.

This game just makes all geeks look bad.

I think they're falling into the same trap Demigod and quite a few other AA/AAA attempts on MOBAs have done.

Too few heroes and items. They're aiming for a more streamlined concept that is more accessible and doesn't scare off more casual players or players who are new to the genre. They somehow haven't realized that the stupid complexity is what actually draws people to play and keep playing DotA/HoN/LoL etc.
