Really looking forward to this game :D
Edit god damn it I hate this quest so much, anyways combat looks very similar to Devil May Cry 4 with the arm that extends, as someone that never played the first one I now see why people said the game was jumping the line of being inspired to almost the same thing just with some changes here and there. Dot get me wrong it looks fun and the skills trees look like you can choose your own style, maybe I'll check it out.
This game is looking really good.
The first game was mad boring. Can't say I'm interested in seeing how the sequel is, but I can give it twenty minutes of my time.
Almost got that late-night 'first'. Ha, doesn't matter, I got that last week. It's 3AM, I'll watch this tomorrow. Wait, no I won't. I'm going to buy Darksiders 2 no matter what- why spoil anything? I'm goin' in clean.
Too bad this is a quicklook EX, it's just always this weird kind of advertising quicklook. Of course the Devs will talk about the "great" things about their game and none of the Giantbomb crew will directly disagree or show much concern.
At the same time there is plenty of useful information to get from these things.
Hopefully this will make me install Darksiders ever since I bought it for 5 bucks from the steam sale.
I did enjoy the first game, but I find myself unable to watched any "EX"s. The conversations are just too awkward for me. I can almost hear exactly where the knife's edge in the banter is.
Also, didn't really care for Darksiders 1, but this looks pretty damn cool.
I never thought the first game looked that interesting but this looks fun despite being the exact same game.
What's up with this thing being up so late? Was it embargoed?
Bought the first game, played an hours worth. Uninstalled. Doesn't look very good. Gameplay might be ok, but the art design doesn't appeal to me. Feels like I need to be a 16 year old boy who likes Image comics and Pantera.
Supposedly it's like Zelda. But without all the heart. Whats the point?
Word! My thoughts exactly.
Loved the first game and I'm really excited for this game to finally come out.
Awesome Quicklook! Can’t wait to get my hands on this. This and Hitman are my most anticipated games of the year.
I sort of don't think they needed damage numbers popping up all over the interface but the game looks really solid and can't wait for it to come out.
Your comment makes it pretty obvious that you either never played the first Darksiders or didn't watch this Quick Look.
Loot is meant to be shown off. Saints Row 4 connectivity?
Wow, I'm really glad I preordered this game now. I knew it was gonna be good, but damn this looks great.
oh hey, middle of the night quick look.
8/14 cannot come soon enough
Wow, the game looks gorgeous! Now that I have a capable PC I am definitely picking up that version. Also, the combat looks amazing and I am loving how fast paced it is.

They sounded like they were having fun on this one.
The Prince of Persia is strong with this one :D
I already liked the first one, and the combat looks like it flows even better in this. Definitely need to check it out.
Quicklooking a multiplatform game on a PC? I believe that's a first.
Holy hell in a handbasket, this game is SNAPPY! Looks like a blast! The combat in Darksiders 1 felt a lot more measured, but this looks frantic and fever inducing. Throw in loot and character progression?
Wow. This was by far one of the best EX Quick Looks yet, but then again I'm super pumped for the game so I may be biased. Also Judge Reinhold needs his own video game.
Also it's 21-8 in Europe because fuck you.
Stupid PR guy. That should've gone for like an hour.

Well, let me tell you that I'm not a 16 year old boy, I don't give a fuck about comics and I could never get into Zelda but I thought Darksiders was pretty good.
This one looks even better, especially the combat (the repetitiveness was one of the larger problems for me in the first one). Then there is loot, skill trees and numbers flying everywhere. Sign me the fuck up.
When he said "Kickin Ass" I facepalmed..
I'm so stoked for this to come out.
QL got me excited......i guess ill play thought the first one in preperation
The most interesting games always get the shortest quick looks. Only thing I didn't like from what I saw was the numbers popping off dudes. I hope you can turn that off.
1:22 am and need to get up early. Yes, I will watch this QL! Loved the first one, so hyped!
Played Darksiders 1 for 102 hours and rarely used the focus aim on one enemy. Why make the screen even wider?
Anyways awesome game. I'll be playing the shit out it.
Oh man. Now I want to be a doorman.
@LiquidPrince: Popping numbers is awesome, more games need to do it.
I already pre-ordered this game on the THQ Store. If you plan to pre-order it, do it there. But, man, this Quick Look... it has numbers. Flying numbers when you hit enemies.
I think I'll pre-order this game again. And probably a third time.
Edit: The more I see about this game, the more I dislike Kingdoms of Amalur, which I'm playing at the moment. The combat here shit all over Amalur's.
Man I need to play Darksiders, it's just sitting in ma steam.
I like the changes that are being done towards combat and the inventory system. But man I'm getting sick of the same formulaic platforming that's been ripped off from PoP and AC for the billionth time.
Darksiders slightly dipped it's toes in the water with this where the sequel so far looks like "hey let's rip off the platform mechanics from Prince of Persia and Assassins Creed, except we won't do anything interesting with them"
Don't get me wrong I love Joe Madueira's artwork which is what I go to Darksiders for but sliding along nooks and crannys in walls as filler gameplay is getting old.
Fuck you @Ryan, Majora's Mask 4 LYFE
I'd like to see these guys on the E3 podcast next year, they seem like fun dudes.

I never played the first Darksiders thats correct. It looks like the same setup with new weapons - I didn't mean it as a detriment I just meant the formula is largely the same of enter area do some puzzles and then do some fighting. Find the large key or the upgrade so you can open an earlier found locked door etc.
Something about the original just didn't mesh with me - but I'm finding the art style and faster combat to look really enticing in this second iteration. So I'm looking forward to playing it.
