Yay!! A VJ QL!
Adventure games are not dead!
There's a sequel out too!
Watched a longplay of this before it was availible in the US and enjoyed it quite a bit. Really like the voice work for Wilbur the gnome. Also, fun fact: the voice actor for the human character (who I don't think is featured in the QL) is the also the voice actor for Geralt of Rivia.
Vinny and Jeff? I can dig it
I was wondering what this was.
The voice acting is great
"Pegging it" made me spill my cereal into my lap :(
The old guys playing an MMO in the demo of this game are absolutely brilliant.
Such an amazing quick look lol
I always enjoy pop-culture references... Even if they are bugs.
Also it's not slow Jeff. What are you waiting for there to happen? It's an adventure game! Not some kind of weird Road Rash knock-off where you ride your hog down the highway, beating up other bikers to get progressively better weapons.
In some scenes, this game looks AMAZING. Like, unbelievable. I ended up watching a Walkthrough on YouTube for a couple of hours (I never do that) because of that very reason.
>_< They didn't pull the other lever.
It was killing me that they didn't end up finding out what to do, so I had to look up a walkthrough...for a game I don't even own =\
I could watch this QL all day.
Love this game, played it earlier this year.
Fantastic voice work and great, very surprising humour. There's a scene involving a British phone booth that killed me.
They also nail (but don't overdo) the 'meta-ness'.
Jesus Christ, another quick look with Vinny in it? God, I'm getting tired of h- wait a minute, no I'm not, I freaking LOVE Vinny!
Doesn't look bad though between the pop culture joke bits that sometimes work well (while others fall flat) & the experience that Jeff & Vinny found of fighting the game to get some item to work how it could but doesn't turns me off playing this. I've played enough adventure games in the past that the pop culture stuff I could live with but fighting with items to work how they should just drives me batty.
Awesome quicklook! except for the part where they skipped past the text and the part where they got stuck.
Adventure games - the means by which hoarders recruit new members.
That's totally a Welsh accent. More games need a bit of Welsh.
Vinny- I only played 'mumblemumblemumble10minutes of this game'
LOL! Thats doing the ole prep ppl. have been rolling around on the ground frothing and screaming for!
Seeing by the comments this was a good ql....
Throw the ring in the fire to read it..know thats a thing though maybe not in this game.
This game when it originally came out,I heard from well respected people, was considered one of the greatest adventure games ever made. It does indeed look pretty awesome.
real shame it doesn't have achievements, but I might get it later
Its a good game, not great. Too many puzzles that have bad logic behind them.
Dragon on Car is my favorite type of Porn. That is a Mcguffin.
But if they are recorded in a book, doesn't that mean that the unwritten tales are, in fact, written?

Well no offence but thats the standard comment when anyone thinks a adventuregame is simply to hard for their taste so that statement carries no weight.
They were supposed to open those doors in the house using the levers.
That little guy has a Welsh accent. It seemed like Jeff was doing a bit of an exaggerated Irish country accent when he imitated him. Not saying I think non-Europeans should be able to differentiate, just clarifying.
Alot of the things in this game story wise remind me of Warcraft.
This looks interesting, but I think I'll wait a week for Deponia to forfill my adventureing needs.
Hah, I wondered if this would turn up on GB when I noticed the (years late) Steam release. I bought this way back when it had its initial German release. It is one of the few select Point & Click adventure games I actually really liked personally. Well, and Botanicula joined that list recently if that even counts strictly speaking.
The references are very on the nose but also very well done in my opinion. And they keep coming relentlessly. Also, yeah, the icons for the other two levers are just slightly off so you missed that. I generally recommend you exhaust every point of interest in the game until dialog repeats. When that happens (usually two sequences in at most) it means you need to apply an item before the point disappears. With that systematic approach I don't recall getting stuck ever.
Great to see the very amusing German voicework survived the transition to the international market fine for once. This one can definitely be a charmer for the right player.
Ha this looks great :) might be exactly what I'm looking for right now.
This game's visuals are freaking fantastic... cgi movie quality right there. Damn
Being a standard comment doesn't make it invalid. If I have to randomly combine objects to solve something and there still is no discernible logic to that solution I consider it a bad puzzle. It is still a good game but to me it doesn't compare to harder classics.
Looks great, will pick it up when I get that Adventure itch.

Yeh ofc it doesnt have ot be invalid and im not saying it is, just that theres no way of knowing either way. Every discussion ever made on the internet about an adventure game contains a bunch of those comments and the word logic is very often watered out with nonsense.

Ok thanks for the input.
I'm a bit conflicted on this one. Being a conversion of a German game I was wary of the voice acting since it often suffers, as someone mentioned. The voicing on the Steam trailer seemed awful, but the performances in the sections here sound great. If it was, say, €10 on Steam I'd probably take a punt on it right now, but at €18 I think I'll work through my backlog of other purchases first then see what the price is when I next remember this game.
I wanna see Vinny and Jeff play this entire game...
Dragon Porn! oh hell yeah!
There was some legitimately funny bits in this game... huh, will have to check it out.
This is the type of game that would make for an entertaining Endurance Run.
@Binman88: It's funny how low-key Wales is
