Yeah, the ending was pretty great. :D

PC version, yet they use a controller...
Analog movement, analog acceleration, analog steering, easier access to key buttons. They're sure making a big sacrifice to better aiming here.

Rented the game basicaly its terrible or average.
AI is bad, gameplay is bad, combat is bad, driving is bad. You could hit a car full speed, and little to no damage to the car you hit. The explosions are reminscent of GTA III last gen with the little black parts flying away. Physics don't exist in this game, you hit a person, they get hit and lie flat on the ground the exact same way.
In compotent games the cops are supposed to try and pull you over. In this game? if they get infront of you, they will stay there unless you stop the car. They don't try to do anything to your car, apparently they just love driving next to you. Its annoying trying to get them off of you specificaly because they seem to be set to drive continuously at the same speed.
The driving is too arcadey and is a bit too much like older sandbox games before GTA IV release. Fighting isn't really necessary considering you can easily just run everyone into an obstacle instantly killing them.
I really liked it. It's not a smash hit, but I totally agree with Alex 4/5 review. The combat has a satisfying "omph" to it and the story is holding my interest. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that it's less well made , but more fun than vanilla GTA IV. I say if you got some spare cash this is not a bad purchase .
Wow, this game actually looks really good. I definitely wanna play this now.

Should be a special end-of-year category:
Nomination for "Best Performance in a Quick Look by a Giant Bomb Cast Member": Vinny Caravella in Sleeping Dogs.
yes
I'm calling it. T-shirt with enraged cartoon Vinny dragging weeping cartoon Brad down a street yelling "We're goin' to karaoke!".
I for one would buy the shit out of that
Oh god, what a great quick look. The street race was amazing between Vinny immediately running over the flag girl and then trying to text and drive.
This game looks pretty damn awesome. Interesting that not a single gun was even seen in this quick look, just many many punches and kicks, which sounds great to me.
That fucking gun is hilarious. Perfect moment to represent the QL. I think I could watch Vinny rough up the fine citizens of virtual Hong Kong for a good long time without getting bored.
You would have won the race if you would have quit ramming other cars at the end, Lol
Still not sure whether I want this, but the work they've put into the PC version is making it damn tempting.
The melee combat alone would justify this game's awesomeness. The fact that it's open world and looks and feels amazing on PC makes it one of my favorites of the entire year.
Edit: That part at the end was amazing.
I love this game. The Cantonese is clearly accented on some characters like Winston and Jackie (because their actors are overseas-born Chinese) and that annoys me a little, but I appreciate the gesture. Though it is a little weird when a guy interjects random Chinese into a sentence and then says the exact same thing right afterward in English. Also odd that all the random street NPCs speak clearly native Cantonese while many named characters do not. (Mrs. Chu is best)
I love Vinny but hes so silly sometimes. You spent the first half the the quick look beating the shit out of random pedestrians and ramming their heads into car doors but you don't like it when the game allows you to run people down? Personally, I can't fucking stand it when games make the pedestrians auto dodge your car. It never looks right and its just overall a janky mess.

@Indiana_Jenkins: Yep, there's a couple of songs on the soundtrack and it made me feel even better about buying it!
I will play this game now. I was not so certain before I saw this QL
"I Just. *SMACK* Want to go. *SMACK* Outside. *SMACK* I just want the doors to open *SMACK*... Og there we go" Vinny is awesome :)
I was lukewarm on this but after that quicklook ok I'm sold. Also Vinny, get some help :)
I love Vinny's enthusiasm when playing video games. Also fantastic ending to the QL!
This game is awesome. Bought it on release day and gave enjoyed the hell out of it ever since.
Vinny did a great job of hosting(?) this quick look - it's not often he gets to do that. Would love to see him showing off more PC stuff in the future.
23 mins on the radio of the motorcycle. Tokimonsta is playing. That alone makes me want to buy this game.
This, more than anything else, exemplifies exactly WHY Vinny's my favorite duder.
Things I learned in this quicklook:
Vinny is the best/worst undercover cop ever
GB and The Lox go together
Don't text and drive, instant accident!
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Vinny should head every QL and Endurance Run. Not just because he's the most entertaining; with a quick wit and sense of humor beyond Emmy-award-winning level, but he SHOWS YOU THE GAME better than anyone else can on GB. Just as long as Drew is manning the controls/TrackIR for the flight sims.
Not to say others don't do it well (Jeff is great all around, as is Brad as long as he isn't the one playing), but dammit, Vinny is GB as far as I'm concerned; the total package. Of course, all of this is completely opinion-based, except for the fact that Vinny is the best.
Thanks to Vinny, I bought this game yesterday. I've only put in about 6 hours into it, but so far it is amazing!
