If anyone does not realize how GREAT MOHW is, then your a complete idiot. My copy has been ordered. Its also likely, those that does not pick up #MOHW likely lives with their Mom and needs permission to purchase a game.
Its a Man's Game, so keep being a COD Noob, only real Men are allowed on MOHW....hate that the future is here and stay small minded. Intelligent Men will purchase #MOHW, the rest are just kids!
There is way to much hate for this game, sure the marketing is atrocious but the game itself looks pretty good. Why don't you kids go back to playing Call of Duty...I actually found the 2010 MoH campaign to be better than any modern military game I have ever played.
Jeez sometimes I feel like a lot of the users on this site are just sheep that know how to type...
Oh fucking well. Hey Internet, you're overreacting. But then that's business as usual. edit: Also fuck you guys. Zero Dark Thirty is most importantly a song. If you see that title and think "oh the 2012 movie?" You're doing it wrong.
What? It's a tie in thing for the movie Zero Dark Thirty, that pretty much instantly turns that movie into a piece of shit,

Seems like it's the other way around to me. And even worse so because it taints the song which has nothing to do with either of the shitty military themed products.

Yeah but why are you complaining about it, it was the code for the operation. I hate Medal of Honour with their authentic Armys and Enemies with a passion, games shouldn't be this serious.
I've been saying for years these modern war type games are pure abysmal, tacky, disgusting propaganda games, cashing in on real wars and real people dying, and now I've been proven right without a shadow of a doubt. Short of making a game where you can kill, rape and torture people in HD 60fps, (not necessarily in that order), there isn't much lower they can go.

What the fuck are you even talking about?
Where do you see that? I can't find a single source on Google that has "Zero Dark Thirty" and "Bin Laden" and "Seal Team Six" without it being about the movie.
Zero Dark Thirty means nothing more than "some time after midnight while it's still dark" in pseudo mil-speak.
Anyone find it even more disgusting that they're exploiting veterans charities as a cheap publicity stunt to ameliorate a tacky, cheap cash grab of a game? Real people with long term real problems are effectively being used to promote EA and Sony's bottom line. Faceless companies that pretend to care when they've got a product, which exploits the real pain and suffering these people went through, to sell.
They will never make a realistic military shooter, or a realistic 1st/3rd person shooter, ever. First people don't drop dead after being shot or wounded, not to mention no one would want to play a game where civilians yells at you, throws shit at you, fingers you to fuck off their country, and where your fellow soldiers rape the occasional woman stranded alone in her home. And so on.
Playing a realistic war game would be like playing a realistic rape simulator, you'd have to be a psychopath/sociopath to enjoy what it really is. Soldiers come back fucked up for a reason. I want a game where wounded people screams their pain to fucking disturbing loudness and agony until I cannot stand it anymore. That would be a start to experiencing a realistic military experience, yet such a small portion of the psychological horror of war.

The highlight of this thread is that video on the bottom, that's hilarious. I hate it. Although I am excited to play through their new campaign, nothing that they have said has any impact on what I feel for their game. To me, it just seems like they're trying too hard, or saying the game is what it's not, but for me, I can't care less in the end really, because if the game is good, it's good. I also probably won't buy any of that DLC. To tell you the truth, I kind of think some of this stuff is disturbing, and not in the way they want me to think it is.
In order to perhaps make this whole thing seem a bit less disgusting, EA will be donating $1 from each map pack download to its Project Honor campaign
That actually makes it more disgusting.
Yeah, it kind of shows they feel guilty about it so they offer a pittance to deflect criticism. Kind of like how giant oil companies make token donations to museums and parks. As if that makes it all alright.
Is it a time related issue with the disgust or is it just specific to the war on terror. (Or maybe Alex just grabbing sensationalist headlines) There is a Navy Seal on TV today hocking his new book about the whole mission. Is that disgusting and cashing in?
People seemed to have no problem with HItler/Nazis and storming the beaches of Normandy in video games not honouring the sacrifices that the military made in WWII.
It's not like this is the first real world location from a prior conflict that has been used in a video game.
How many years do we have to wait for it to be ok?
and there's a difference between reading someone's story of what actually happened and playing it and I hope you'd know the difference.
And here's why our medium isn't even taken seriously by the people who claim to enjoy it. It's okay for books, or movies, or graphic novels, or music to focus on real life war stories, but if there's a controller involved, suddenly it's gauche. This is the exact dialogue that says video games are not a meaningful form of expression, and not a legitimate art form. The problem is that they are art, and they can express the thoughts and feelings of the situation just like any medium.
I don't care, I say go ahead. It's 2 locations that he might have been at, not a big deal. And for that matter there is nothing to cashin on by adding 2 locations, I bet hardly anyone buys it because of that. If anything they just want 2 more locations. Also, you add in the fact that they are donating minimum of 1 million to charity which is more than anyone on here(myself included) or at Giantbomb has ever donated, I say go for it.
Alex Navarro How about the sacrifices tens of thousands afghans and THeIR families made? Half of afghanistan is destroyed in the hunt of 1 man and yet I don't see you writing a single word about it. Now that IS shameful.
What the fuck does that have to do with anything?
Anyway, I've said it before and I'll say it again. Fuck this game.

I'm honestly tempted to flag this because I'm pretty sure you're working for "the man."
I find this very distasteful. Very. And I have a fucking Osama shooting target.

I don't really understand whats so wrong with this. The hunt for Bin Laden is a fascinating modern military story, why shouldn't it be in a game? Why is it more wrong than a movie?
