edit: phew, got that outta my system. Been seeing this on Steam, looks interesting!
Yay, something to watch. I'm so bored.
I played it for about 3 or 4 hours and I don't think it's quite as good as Gemini Rue or Resonance. The story is just kinda boring, for now at least.
It does have a pretty cool art style and decent writing (the sidekick kinda reminds me of Morte from Planescape Torment, and not just because it's a big floating head) so I'd still recommend it for those who like the genre.
Edit : also, finger in the nose was totally the right solution.
I loved Gemini Rue and quite liked Resonance, so this is looking pretty interesting. I'm probably not gonna watch the whole quick look though, watching a point and click game that you're gonna play totally spoils it.
Drew: 1 Brad/Vinny: 0
Drew: "I'll be here all week, tip your waitress!"
It all makes sense now. Brad is a robot!
*RECYCLED IT* ... to death
Its crazy how many people comment as soon as it comes out, must get alot of extra clicks though the quest system.
VINNY IS THE BEST, NO CONTEST.
I was looking forward to this QL.
Horatio's voice reminds me of the narrator from Bastion. So I'm already on board.
Vinny, the best dramatic reader of all time
"How would that even work?"
"The kid tried to piece the conduit together with the putty, but that didn't work. All it did was anger some scumbags."
Don't really see myself playing this game, I better just watch the whole thing.
Played two hours of this game last night. It's freaking great if you're into classic point & clicks.
It's the same guy. Great game, great performance from him.
Adventure game Quick Looks with Vinny is one my favorite things on the site
This looks fantastic.
I still think someone needs to get Vinny into a voiceover booth for the best/worst studio work ever.
The robot head that he kept talking about on the UNNIC's location was a Tom Servo head, and there was a Tom Servo body in the foreground.
I found it funny Vinny and Brad didn't even consider WRITING IT DOWN.
I wish more games would encourage that, even if its in digital form.
EDIT: I also LOVE the art style. Reminds me of Josh Kirby's work
Crispin is in the snout shot for a reason. You can give him the finger and rag to stick in the nose.
Vinny love you for loving these adventure games! You introduced me to Wadjet Eye, so thank you!!!!
Finger and greasy rag up the nose.
This is great! I love adventure games and I love any thing with post-apocalyptic settings! This seems to be the game for me!
This looks pretty cool.
"I'm all mouth and no hands"
DON'T USE THE INTERNET.
I'll be picking this up, I absolutely loved Gemini Rue
PrimordiA, not PrimordiUM, come on Vinny... multiple times too :(
"A planet's mysteries are unravelled by snarky robots, BUT ENOUGH ABOUT BRAD AND VINNY HEY-O!"
give @drewbert a raise xD
The player character's voice actor sounds like a Baldwin.
Anyone else having problems with Giant Bomb quick looks not loading past the ~10 min mark? This is the 2nd one I cant watch past that point. Wierd stuff that just recently poppep up.
I knew I knew that voice! It's Logan Cunningham!
Hah, I thought that's what it was!
Drew, oh Drew...
@Yorkin: It's Logan Cunningham (Rucks from Bastion)
i think another premium feature should be "adventure time with vinny" (yes not based on the cartoon :p) in which we watch vinny and brad play through these adventure games.
A shrine?! That thing's a GIANT BOMB!
looks like i have no mouth and i must scream
But I've already played Beneath a Steel Sky...
please no more lazy content locked behind a premium subscription.
@Zetetic_Elench: Oh yeah, he does sound like Ron Perlman :P
I always get excited when I see a Vinny adventure game quick look pop up :)
