Always be quick looking!
It's all about timing.
Uh, kinda late as QL, isn't it?
Dem quest attempts.
Glad to see them finally start digging back into missed games when times are slow.
Wish this was wholly the case, but it's mostly just because it came out on XBLM so it's relevant again. It would be awesome if they just did quick looks for no real reason just because they think it should be on the site.
I heard this game wasn't good. Guess I'll see for myself.
Man, those kind of games are not meant to be played using 360 controllers...
"EL PRESIDENTE! YOUR PEOPLE ARE IN HARD TIMES! THEY NEED FOOD AND WATER!"
"SI SI MUY BUENO. GIVE THEM MORE STATUES! STATUES EVERYWHERE! AHOUHOUHOUHOUH"
TL Note: "El Presidente" (The President) says "Yes Yes" and laughs like that because he is Spanish-French, aka Spanch. It's a thing, trust me.
@sungahymn: The PC version is excellent if you like this type of game, imo it is one of the best city builder games of the last few years, it is also capable of looking & running much much better than this 360 version.
fun game on the pc
It looks like it runs a lot better than Tropico 3 did on Xbox 360.

Ya, it always drives me nuts when they complain in stuff that there's no games to do stuff of when people literally send them hundreds of games a year that they never touch. Sure they are trash, but trash games are the fun ones.
that screen tearing is killing me.
"We need to figure out what makes me people happy."
"Put fluoride in the water."
Seems like a weird choice to quick look the 360 version.
It would seem even weirder to quick look the PC version now when it came out last year.

Punch, kick, it's all in the mind.
I'm just going to say Neverdead and leave.
I really, really hate that background music.

It's the Gold Edition, which just came out on PC and XBLA in November.
Now that that's been cleared up...
If there is one thing I absolutely love about the Tropico games, it's the goddamn music. So fucking good.
Nice and timely! Oh well, at least they got to it.
@heatDrive88: Agreed. It fits perfectly with this game and can really get stuck into my head after a few hours of game time!

I always get Jeff's voice mixed up with Ryan's DX
How can any human actually play this game instead of just getting up to dance once the music starts?
I dunno why they decided to do this, but I am all for it. I actually got into this game just a few months ago and spent a great 50 or so hours with it. Great city-building game.
And yes, the music is delightful and the game has awesome personality.
This music is carved into my brains forever. I played Tropico 4 a whole bunch and even latino guitar gets old when there's not enough tracks.
Oh sure, but when I commit unscrupulous acts in the name of happiness, they ask me to LEAVE Disneyland!
Does this include the expansion where you have to provide asylum to John Mcafee?
Ryan builds a pub right across the street from the immigration office. Social dumping!
Taswellissimo is a great name.
absolutely love that game. but the best thing about the game is the music. its so vibrant and awesome
"We need to figure out what makes me people happy.""Put fluoride in the water."Oh Jeff...
Lost my shit at this part. Great quick look too. Takes me back to the days of being 9 and into games like Theme Hospital and Theme Park World. Maybe I should get this...
That VO lady sounds just like the lady that briefs you in Hitman 2!
Just play it on PC, people.
The reason we are so miserable here in the UK is because we don't have any damn fluoride in the water.
As someone who played a lot of Tropico 3 I found this way to similar when I played the demo. Still probably gonna get it during a Steam sale though.
Did you even have any police officers? I find they make police departments work better.
It's stupid as hell ! I love it !
This game is great, I'm glad they got around to covering it!
I played the shit out of Tropico 3 and this is just wayy to similar. People who didn't play it as much probably won't notice, but most of the textures are the same, just with some changed colors, the buildings are the same for the most part.. it plays the same way. Its still a good game on its own right, but dissapointment for long-time fans!
This music reminds me of Radio Espantoso in Vice City.... damn fine horns!!!
I want a taco.
You want to play the expansion because while it is more Tropico 4, it is also insane. There are Penultimo clones and a Penultimo virus that turns everyone into him.
Also, note, Modern Times adds buildings that are unlocked as years pass by. There's a screen in the game that shows what buildings and world events are coming up, so you can plan accordingly.
I will take a look at this game, always been interested but never had the time too
