Mega Man!
EDIT: Holy crap I got it and I wasn't even trying!
OT: This looks really neat. I was thinking that it was some cash-in until I saw the last bit where it says it will be free. Cool!

A little disappointing because everyone thought the "surprise announcement" during the SF25 grand finals would be, y'know, fighting game related.

wonder if this will get canceled because "the fans didnt care"
I get the joke you're making, but it's actually quite the contrary. This is a fan project that Capcom has officially gotten behind. I really wish more companies would be like that.
This looks like a fan game with the pandering music and imagery. Thankfully this is free because what Japan's doing recently with all of it's crossover and nostalgia stuff is fucking retarded.

It is a fan game, actually.
It is real, it is a fan-made game that Capcom didn't C&D and decided to help distribute. The creator is from Singapore, they brought him up on stage.
On one hand, it's kinda shitty that the only thing they're doing for Mega Man's 25th anniversary is propping it up with Street Fighter.
On the other hand, free game.
Wha...? How...? Who...? It's like someone took an April Fools joke and made it come true!
Seems like everything Capcom does is met with criticism....
Well, Capcom, I appreciate what this is. You are A-OK in my books.
You know what Capcom, I don't really care for Megaman, and I've stopped caring about Street Fighter recently. But that made me smile.
I'm confused where this fits into the canon. Is 2012 before or after 20XX? Is this a continuation of the story from Street Fighter 2010: The Final Fight?
I am okay with this. They're having fun with some of their characters, and it's not gonna cost us anything.
I love the fact the capcom is doing something other the crapping on the megaman franchise but I just cant feel right playing a mega man game on PC
I guess that when that fucking twitter feed was telling all of the Devroom fans that they were expected to mostly make the game themselves, Capcom was being totally serious.
OMG yes.
edit: I love the people that complain even when something is free. Keiji Inafune is no longer there and that means it will be a long time before we get another official Mega Man game.
Holy shit gamers love to bitch. Free game. Fan-made, that Capcom is promoting. What is wrong with some of you?
I'll give this a whirl when it releases. I love the Mega Man series, although my fondest of memories are from the first three games of the X series.
This looks great. Hopefully it'll come to consoles or iOS. Perhaps if the game runs on a mac I'll be good to go.

Ditto.
Also, if you go to www.capcom-unity.com/mega_man and read the actual announcement article, you'll see that this is only the first thing they're doing for the anniversary.
Good to see a company supporting a fan release instead of stomping it into the ground.
I remember seeing this somewhere before months ago, probably back at Capcom_Unity, makes sense that it was a fan game they picked up.
Eh, whatever.
Well, its free so I can't be too critical. As a free game I'm ok with this.
I have to find something to bitch about...Hey! Blanca is misrepresented! He's gentle guy...right?
Capcom did something positive, I'd better bitch and moan about it because that's what we do.
I think this is really sweet of Capcom; good on them.
For comparisons sake, remember what Nintendo did for Mario's 25th? Yeahhh..

"We" aren't the collective we.
That's fucking awesome, I'm totally down. I wish it was on XBLA, but I'll take it for free.
