Too fast.
:( I'm going to have to skip this quick look. Until I play a few hours of the game.
wake up sheep brad left months ago and cb$i have just been covering it up all this time why do you think jeff has been so insulting to us honest crazy conspiracy people recently it's because hes part of it and so is ryan and so are the mods thats why theyve been deleting all the brad is leaving threads and posts in the chat follow the money people
looking forward to what speedrunners will do to this game. I bet they will brake the shit out of it.
Brad's impression of Ryan has gotten... crazy good!
But on a more serious note, it was neat how Ryan seemed to do most of those puzzles in a way that the vague hint panels made sense. Like moving backwards through the door or looking through the colored panes to influence the room. Cool looking game.
It's the same technology that makes Portal work, but rendered as "invisible" things that fill the entire space and applied in different ways (e.g. A portal that takes you to different places depending on which direction you move through it, a portal that is activated only while you aren't looking etc.)
THE SECRET IS OUT! Ryan has actually been Brad this whole time! Ryan is just Brad in a body suit! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!1!
Brad doesn't sound like himself in this one. He almost sounds like, call me crazy, a little like Ryan.
It's actually Jeff and Patrick. Jeffs Brad impression had gotten so good that he can now do Brad imitating Ryan. (in fact, Jeff, Ryan and Brad are actually all the same person).

I am scared to be spoilered. Can I watch the QL?
I'd watch like the first 10-20 minutes to get a feel for the puzzles and the some of the mechanics. I think you'll "understand" the game after that.
Reminds me of Qube, bud more mindfuck. Also, I don't see whats non-Euclidic about this game, parallel lines stay parallel, tough maybe that changes in the later levels.
Argh! Does anyone know who started calling this non-Euclidean geometry in the first place? This is NOT an example of non-Euclidean geometry (nor does it have anything to do with the 4th dimension). Instead, in this game the space(s) you are in change as you move. That's all, and there is no fancy term for it. It may seem like a trivial point but for us mathematicians and those in the know, it is sort of the equivalent of when someone familiar with computers watches a CSI-style "zoom... ENHANCE" photo processing scene.
I don't know, it's just not grabbing me at all. Strange that Jeff would be so absorbed by this.
Crazy! Love the look and vibe. Cool that its an really original game. Love a good mind fuck.
This game is what I imagine hell/purgatory to be. A never ending series of puzzles that never make sense. I do not want to play this.

"WTF?", that's not Brad.
How can you make such definitive statements inside THE ANTICHAMBER?

What is an example of non-Euclidean geometry then, Mr. Scientist?
I'll just take a guess at Patricks "how does this work?" question and say nothing exists before you see it. There is no map, there is no world, it's all just procedurally generated as you move through the level. It's pretty much proven by how the puzzles work by changing the world with simple button presses.
They talk about how it's strange that it's an Unreal engine game, but isn't the whole "load the game as needed" one of the defining features of that engine?
I think Vinny's just trying to get a lot of people to pass on this Quicklook...
Wouldn't it be look cues and traversal cues? You look a certain way and it switches the value to "yes" which keeps the way open for you. Then you add those two cues together with more complicated ones(are you pressing walk?value "yes", etc) and you have anti chamber. Another way would be to teleport you to a different map where the starting point is identical to where you start off but everything else is different.
