Daily Dark Souls incoming?

With Brad having DOTA 2 withdrawals (I think I speak for most of us when I say finally), it seems the site will be missing a "pivotal" feature, but have no fear cause Vindawg may be here to save the day. And he's bringing one of my all time favourite games with him. I just wanted to make this topic to let people know who may have missed the tweet, and to also perhaps show Vinny, Rorie and Ian that this community is fully onboard for this idea (I know there's a lot of Souls fans in this place, maybe not to Neogaf levels of evangelism but still). I think it goes without saying that we don't spoil anything unless Vinny gets really stuck and prompts us for help. I really hope he goes through with this idea and with Scoops planning to tackle Dark Souls later down the line, we'll have plenty of Souls goodness to binge on.

Didn't Vinny already finish it? Maybe that was Demon's Souls.

Daily Vinny would be great.

@cale: Yeah he finished Demon's Souls but not Dark Souls. I personally still find the former more difficult despite playing the latter first.

Sounds awesome. A Daily Feature that has Vinny, Matt, and Ian screaming obscenities at a punishing game would be worth my premium subscription.

Anything with the words "Daily" and "Vinny" in it is guaranteed gold.

Man, it would make up for those hundreds of hours of uninteresting premium content(DOTA2) that I have only watched half an hour of before turning it off.(I really despise MOBAS)

Dark Souls was one of the best game of 2011 and only Vinny gave a crap about it(Patrick watched some LPs, but those don't count)

Quick! Someone make a Daily Dark Souls artwork. Something with Vinny wielding a sword wearing a shirt that says Vin Co. If there is artwork they have to do it. :)

When's Dark Souls II out? They should do it for that so we can all wander in the dark together. With the added bonus of there not being people in the comments saying 'you're doing it wrong' like there was for Chrono Trigger and Persona 4. Not that this would be an Enduring Marathon or anything..

If @vinny, @ltsquigs or @rorie need any help with patches (no, not Patches) or mods or anything else about the game I will be more than happy to help. In fact, I will be more than happy to invade them and make their lives miserable as well. Whatever makes for the best content.

I am not going to be excited about just watching another person Dark Souls again. On the other hand, I would be more interested in seeing more of a "challenge" where viewers suggest things which Vinny must stick with.

Nope, just for the few idiots that complain about content that takes away from nothing and that they don't have to watch just because they don't like it.

@2headedninja: I doubt they would let 2 Daily streams co-exist, so if Daily Dota goes way of the dodo for Dark Souls then I'm all for it.

the dota stream has never really been daily, at best it was weekly. If there actually was a Dark Souls stream that would not be daily either.

@2headedninja: Even still, the DOTA talk bleeds into other stuff like the Bombcast and what not. Not to mention the 'what if?' scenario if it got replaced by something much more worthwhile. Sure, it seems like a selfish request, but I think DOTA 2 has had its time in the spotlight on this site for one year.

There was a while when Brad was talking about it in the "What are you playing" segment because thats what he was ... well playing. And one bit when they talked about the international because even if you don't like the game that tournament was big news in gaming. Thats it ... unless you are actually complaining about the occasional 2 minutes on dota in a ~3 hour podcast.

Don't get me wrong, I would like to see a stream of Vinny playing Dark Souls, but the complaining about dota that happens on this site speeded past unreasonable into "dumb" territory really fast.

Maybe at the beginning, I'm mostly judging by archived streams on this site because being german I usually can't watch any live-streams. Even if it was actually daily for a while that time has long passed.

This would be great, I hope he's aware of the mods.

Also: If they're gonna play the PC version, hopefully they'll be smart enough to DSfix and DSCfix it (it's really not tricky at all). Heck, after that they could so easily summon themselves whenever cooperation seems needed.

Fuck yeah. I've been meaning to jump back into the Dark Souls madness. Watching Vinny play will have to do as I make my way through GTA.

Zero interest in the game, but Vinny has a way to make otherwise boring stuff good. Will give it a shot. Can't be any worse then that terrible DOTA series. That game is as exciting as watching already dried paint dry some more.

Looks like it is yet another in a growing list of premium only features unfortunately.

I just beat Dark Souls a month ago and I genuinely think it's one of the best games I've ever played.

Majorly looking forward to this feature.

Now THIS I would watch. Hell, it might even get me to finish the game. I'd try to play alongside wherever he was. It's really bothered me that I never finished it.

I'd watch Vinny doing anything. Anything.

A bit over 6 hours and counting for Vinny´s Dark Soul stream...well at least the stream description says "load our last souls".
