@herbiebug: From what I understand, cheesing isn't about using the least effective way to win, but to use the MOST effective way to win. So effective that it throw all difficulty by the window. It may or may not be by using a weaksauce weakness. Most of the time it uses some IA/aggro/attack proc flaw at your advantage. Sure if you wan't some challenge, you shouldn't use cheesy strategies but if you're really stuck and haven't the experience nor level necessary to win at the time, it's an alternative to dying over and over again.
For exemple, I always cheese the Ancient Dragon, because I hate the fact that he has so much health, one hit kill you, combined with his stupidly large AoE attack. It means that any error on your part, and you're rosted. And by "any error" I mean "Didn't react in the half second needed then ran in the right direction, which is random because when he jump in the air it's not assured he turn in the right way."
Vendrick is much more manageable for exemple. Chariot Executionner too, but it's tedious (and gets annoying after a few tries)
If I wan't to be all macho man on a boss, I'll say "killing *insert boss name here*with a spoon" And you can do it. I did it.It was a ladle actually, but still... or maybe it's not macho man, but more kitchen girl using her natural toy (now that was macho).
@clonedzero:Where were you when I killed those guys by myself ? I hate you ! ... ... kidding ^^
Thanks for the tips, My main character already have the ring of blades +2, but I know what to do if I wan't it again (and doesn't want to bother with the fight)
Another cheesy stratagy : cheesy dragon shrine, two words : Poison Arrows.
Cheesy Smelter Demon : Gyrm greatshield
Cheesy Baneful Mytha : Summon a Jester and look at him go all Black Iron Tarkus on her. And don't forget the popcorn.
