Someone saw fit to create concept pages for individual fictional baseball teams found in World Class Baseball:

While it is true that we allow concept pages for real sports teams, is it really the case that we should allow individual pages for fictional teams (particularly if they only ever appeared in one game)? Wouldn't it be better to just have a singular "Fictional Sports Team" concept?

Hunh this is a weird one

I think what might be better is to have sports teams have their own character pages (a team afterall is a collective group of characters) instead of being a concept page and then have a singular concept page for fictional sports teams as you suggested. You could then do the same for "teams" in general e.g. the Gullwings from FF X-2 .

Then you would have the best of both worlds allowing editors to have the flexibility to add in individual team pages as warranted in the future and possibly avoiding creation/deletion wars while still having a one stop shop page for things like fictional sports teams.

I guess what's the wiki rationale for having groups of people be a concept page in the first place?

@hailinel: In-game groups/organizations/teams get concept pages regardless if they are fictional or not. Even if they only appear in a single game.

These pages are fine, and your request is denied.
