Seiken Densetsu 3 is the sequel to Seiken Densetu 2. Seiken Densetsu 2 was released in the US as...
....Secret of Mana.
How on earth could you misconstrue them as being the same game? It even says as much on each page.
That said, "Secret of Mana 2" should be deleted as an alias on Seiken Densetsu 3 since the game was never released under that title and I don't even think the fans refer to it as such.

It's still just a bullshit, made up name that holds zero significance. The only valid alias for it could possibly be "SD3"; "Secret of Mana 2" was never an official name, alias or nickname for it. That's just something a few tard-os (like Gamefan, who was notorious for printing wishful thinking and perputating bullshit) referred to it as. If we listed every madeup nickname of every game here then the alias lists would be longer than the main content.

It's an alias, so it's a common way people refer to the game which isn't the actual title. It doesn't have to be an official name.

This. There are other games on here (that I can't immediately point out) that have aliases that aren't "official" names.
