As far as I can tell, this is just a free Source mod. It was established somewhere that fan mods for existing games (or in this cause, game engines,  I guess) don't get their own pages. Pretty straightforward.

The page is still here, and it's still a free Source mod. Just saying.

There are pages for other mods too.

@DjCmeP: Mods of existing games go against Giant Bomb policy, if there are pages for other mods, those should be deleted too, unfortunately.

@Deusoma: Counter-Strike started as a mod. Should it be deleted?

@DjCmeP: That's a straw-man argument. CS is a retail product.

@Deusoma: I remember this page coming up before and this topic in general.  Is this mod/game available for purchase anywhere?  Like, is it on Steam?

@Digifiend: There's currently a discussion about how to handle browser games, and when implemented Zynga's Facebook games will be acceptable for Giant Bomb. So there's really no point in deleting them.

Can someone point me toward this mod rule? I'm not sure I've heard of it before.

@Digifiend: We have to have some set of rules on mods.  Otherwise we would get every shitty Unreal or Doom mod every made having its own game page, which would be ridiculous.

Zombie Master is on Steam but not as a commercial product. It's available for free for everyone.

I personally don't see any problem with total conversion mods being on the site. They are (most of the time) different enough from their base game to count as a new game, and some (like Pirates, Vikings and Knights II) are even better than most commercial games.

I agree that we shouldn't allow every game modification to have it's own page, but it's hard to define a rule set to prevent this. I would say both Pirates, Vikings & Knights II and Zombie Master ought to exist on Giant Bomb, but "smaller" mods such as new game modes for Quake multiplayer or texture packs for Doom ought not to.
