Request a fix for RENAME & ALIAS issues here!

Please add "Marvelous USA, Inc." as an alias for XSEED Games. XSEED still publishes games under the XSEED brand but the company's official title now is Marvelous USA.

Rename:

• Antagonist to Male Antagonist. Since we have a Female Antagonist page, it only seems fair.

rename: Famicom Remix 1+2 -> NES Remix Pack

was just announced at SDCC for US release under that name. keep old name as alias.

rename: Super Smash Bros. -> Super Smash Bros. for Wii U/Nintendo 3DS

it's dumb but those are the game titles and as far as I know, we handle those dual-release game pages that way, right? I already proposed separate pages earlier since both games have different content and modes but nobody was up for it due to both being marketed together.

@mooseymcman: Just that one? There's a whole page's worth of renaming/aliases that needs to be seen to :o Also, you forgot the Boxman alias.

Frankly I think it's a little odd why there's such a high barrier for editing page titles and adding aliases in the first place really. Sure, for new editors naturally they should first wait for the assistance of a moderator. But veteran editors could surely be trusted to make these decisions on their own, especially given how long it can sometimes take for the requests to be processed. It seems particularly strange when you consider that we can create as many pages as we want, yet we can't edit the title or add aliases?..

I realize that could also be read as "games that have never been banned", but I like to believe most users are not quite stupid enough to use it that way.

Can we rename Games once banned but not anymore to something less clunky? Like Previously Banned, maybe?

Transylvania is spelt wrong in Spike in Transilvania, you can see it spelt the mundane way on the title screen screenshot on page front.

Please add the alias Senjou no Enbukyoku for Senjou no Waltz. 'Enbukyoku' translates to waltz in Japanese.

these were not addressed while others were. the Anno page was supposed to be renamed, not just aliased.

It wasn't overlooked. The page was originally spelled Transilvania and the user requested it changed to Transylvania.

It's a bit of an odd one as they use Transylvania on the title screen while the box art uses Transilvania. The title now reflects the name as it's given in-game.

Lost Izalith is the name of the actual in-game area (it pops up in the middle of the screen when you enter it). "Non-lost" Izalith doesn't exist in the game.

Toaru Majutsu no Index should have these two aliases added:

• To Aru Majutsu no Index: It's very common to split that word up in romanization.
• A Certain Magical Index: This is the official English name for the franchise, and what I imagine most people would use to search for this game.

If there's any evidence that the game was ever released under the title Starship Troopers Online, maybe that could be added as an alias. But on Google the only non-spam result I get for that title is the Giant Bomb page itself. Even this screenshot on the GB page says "Starship Troopers: Battlespace" though.
