Documenting everything, even the weird stuff, is the point of the wiki. and to anyone who points at 'rapelay' as a fair representation of video gaming as a whole, I would recommend they use Salo (don't worry, just the benign wikipedia link) as a representation of films as a whole.

Thanks for reminding me, I've got at least three different ero game pages to edit tonight. Just because it has naked ladies in it doesn't mean it can't be a good game.

Now go play Katawa Shoujo.

So, as I recall, it turned out that the only reason pornographic images were allowed on the site in the first place was because someone forgot to delete that text when copying some rules over from Anime Vice (may it rest in peace).

Not true. Jeff had said that they were permitting hardcore images of hentai games because they didn't want to censor anything that could be found in games without mods.

I had no idea any of that was on Giantbomb. I guess it just goes to show there isn't really anything to get excited about. You have to actually go looking for it after all. If possible I'd rather have a more complete record than one that has been whitewashed according to arbitrary standards of some chosen group. I mean, if Giantbomb aspires to be a useful historical record and not just a $$$ for link hits flash in the pan.

To add, Comic Vine is only one out of the former Whiskey Media family that forbids censoring erotic comic book manga no matter how explicit it is. The only rule is that erotic graphic novels should be uploaded on certain days. I think it was every day except Tues and Thurs. Comic Vine can hide the wiki pages from Google search not like Anime Vice due to the system.

Regarding Anime Vice, no rules from Anime Vice was applied to Giant Bomb. The rules were made long after Giant Bomb's porn purge. We had to delete all pornographic images because Google blacklist Anime Vice. This was hurting everyone including wiki editors and my teammates.
