Thought it might be interesting or amusing to ask.
I named my dog "Kitty". Imagine my surprise when I ran into a sub-boss with the same name. :P
What did you name the Mabari War Hound?
Umm.. where do you get the Mabari? I got the quest right near the start to get the stuff to heal him, which I got, but I moved the story along before I could hand it in. Have I missed out?
I don't recall ever naming him. I pretty much ditched him once I got more characters than my party could hold. Dogs don't add much narrative depth to a story-driven RPG.
The same thing I called my dog in Fable II; Wulfugn, pronounced "Wolf-un" or "Volfen". Thought it sounded pretty cool, but it's also kind of an ugly name for an ugly game (in terms of gritty). It was a toss up between that, Derfel or Hywldywn.
I'm way into fantasy, so I know how to come up with names. Incidentally, my main character is a redheaded human female warrior named Raila, which is the name of the mother of the protagonist of a fantasy novel I hope one day to write.

"Wow, what would have happened if you were asked what your favourite colour is? Would you have written a 500 page summary of your childhood and how you grew up?
I was incredibly uncreative and just named mine Dog. I knew I wasn't going to be using him long so I didn't feel the need to come up with something ultra-creative. Looking back however I kind of wish I had.
