I'm sure that it's all insured, but I still hope they find who's responsible.
Day Zero Live
Tons of computer equipment in a room right next to a window to a busy intersection. Doesn't bode well. It looks like someone is going to have to spend a lot of time tonight out buying equipment, but what do you even do without software? Is Gamespot effected?
They were joking about someone stealing their equipment on the last podcast. Is this for absolute real?

Jeff just said they're trying to work out what kind of show they can make with one camera and a little equipment and they'll update us on Twitter if the show is canceled.
Yeah, saw that. It's a real bummer because GB's stuff is some of the best video content to come out of every E3. It's 2 AM here, but I'll wait a bit for any updates.
Murderhouse is safer than actual recording studio.
No one ever thinks to rob a crack den.
@agentmoo: Absolutely, the important thing is that nobody was hurt. Still, I imagine that they're pretty upset - I know I'd be.
Remember when Ryan said their situation couldn't be worse than last year? Well it is.
Jeff said their equipment was stolen. Looks like a serious delay
Where did he say this?
In the GB chat.

where did jeff say that? i have nothing on twitter
edit never mind just got the twitter feed! bummer!
Hey guys... guys... It wasn't one of us, I hope... I mean - people in this community knew about the equipment, and they themselves posted pics of the space.
That would be DESPICABLE.
Fuck, that would be the worst.
Seriously, if that was the case I think the relationship between the GB crew and the community would be broken.
I'm sorry this happened guys! Deal with what you have to and your fanbase will support you no matter what. Video games don't matter right now. It'll be okay.
I imagine they'll scrounge something up for the rest of the week, but it sucks we won't get their gut, immediate reactions on E3 today. It's not the same with a day break in between and time to digest.
Well this is going to fuck up content on the site for a while. They brought most of their stuff down there and it takes them forever to get new stuff from CBS.
From the chat:
@hassun What else would you call it? They prob can't say anything due to legal issues, like when CBS got hacked.
Aw man this is a real bummer. Hope they manage to solve this issue since the e3 content they do has always been really awesome.

Yep, if they have to cancel tonight than so be it. If they end up all having to stream by huddling around a laptop, that'll do as well. Man, the person who did this is a real jackass. I doubt it was one of ours, but it's uncanny that the bombcast was joking about stolen equipment and this all goes down.
Wow that is some shit. A bunch of duders just doing their job and have all that shit robbed, on the first day none the less. Man, that was so much of their office stuff too from the looks of it. Where are the karma police when you need them? I feel for them, it has got to be crazy stressful enough trying to get all this shit together.
It is awesome that the guys are trying to get something together, but they should get their affairs in order and figure out what happened.
I suggest Giant Bomb takes over one of Gamespot's two sets and turns that into their dedicated Livestream set... because Gamespot won't be able to use it after Giant Bomb has their way with it.
Unfortunately it looks like some of the crew's equipment was stolen down in LA. Doubtful that there'll be a show tonight.
Reminds me of when Streetlight Manifesto had ALL of their equipment and merchandise stolen in trailers while on tour.
Their opening bands (Whole Wheat Bread and... I'm blanking) loaned instruments and the tour went on, but IIRC it was a massive loss for them. Materials-wise they had to go about literally "building" the band up again, and physically had zero merch to sell at their shows to even make some of the money back. Fuck thieves.
It would almost be morbidly hilarious if it actually was a podcast listener who pieced together all the bits of information about the space from their various descriptions and pictures.
@demoskinos: They need to form a possy and throw down some street justice.
