Platinum to announce new Transformers game at E3

IGN has revealed that they're going to show gameplay of a new Platinum title at E3 on June 16th 3pm PT. - Source

For me that means that I'm officially on the E3 hypetrain (we'll likely see Scalebound gameplay as well) and it'll probably one of my personal highlights. There's also this tweet:

This makes me think Revengeance 2 (due to his eye) or a new DMC (due to Dante's outfit). I'd take both though a new DMC would be my top pick apart from a completely new IP.

What do you think it could be? Are you as excited as I am for a new Platinum game?

I was hoping for this quite a bit. It was in the back of my mind, but now that it's true It feels exciting. I'd rather it be a new IP though. Scalebound being exclusive to Xbox is kind of a bummer, since that's the only game on the system that holds any appeal for me at the moment (just due to Kamiya being attached). Platinum hasn't really "missed" when it comes to console games yet, So yeah..I'd rather see something fresh from them.

Yay! I would kill for another Revengance. Would be interesting to see them take another go at something non character action (Vanquish) also.

I'm all for new IPs and with all the recent Konami shenanigans I can't blame anyone for not wanting Rising 2. Goddamn it though I want Rising 2.

I hope it's something completely new. I loved both Bayonetta 2 and Wonderful 101, and really liked Revengeance, but Platinum seem to be one of the few developers pumping out new IP's. I'd love for them to keep expanding that.

It might just be praying in hope but I could totally see Capcom enlisting Platinum to do DMC5. The DMC4 SE has been getting some decent buzz and has obviously had a ton of work put into it, so it is clear they still see the franchise as being pretty profitable. The only issue is if it would require funding that would likely come from an exclusivity deal.

I saw some people were losing their shit because apparently Kamiya retweeted something about the e3 Nintendo Direct. Don't know if that has anything to do with this or not. (Lots of people also seem to think Bayonetta for Smash will be revealed too)

It won't be Revengeance 2 because of Konami. Honestly, I won't be impressed if it's just another character action game. But if this next game is all about the colour red, I don't have my hopes up. It'll probably be really actiony and bloody and "cool".
