The Official E3 2015 Ubisoft Press Conference Discussion

Aisha is back again to tower over French people.
Aisha is back again to tower over French people.

It's officially E3 time, duders! If you haven't experienced the insanity of E3 before, the show starts off with press conferences from each of the three console makers as well as a few of the largest publishers in the industry. These presentations are prime real estate for game announcements, debut trailers, live gameplay demonstrations, and meme origins.

In an attempt to keep the E3 shenanigans organized, the mods institute these official discussion threads for each conference so that everybody has a go-to place to discuss them before, during, and after the show.

Keep Discussions On Topic

This thread is exclusively for the general discussion of the Ubisoft press conference. Only discussion of the Ubisoft press conference is allowed. Discussion involving the other company's conferences should be taken to their respective threads (once they're posted). And don't even think about going off-topic or derailing the thread with your thoughts on whether or not the next Marvel movie should feature Absorbing Man.

Specific Announcements

I wonder how much car door tech has advanced since last time.
I wonder how much car door tech has advanced since last time.

E3 is THE place for announcing never before seen games. It's exciting, fast-paced stuff and we're all enthusiastic to start talking about all the new toys. But, please keep in-depth discussions about specific games in their respective forums. For more information about how to help us keep things organized, go check out the E3 2015 and You! thread.

To help you get where you need to go to talk about anything announced or shown during this press conference, we have created a list of them right here:

Despite the insanity of E3, keep in mind that the general site rules still apply. So, don't be a dick. If you need a refresher on to conduct yourself like an upstanding citizen of the Giant Bomb community, check out the FAQ.

When/Where Can I Watch?

  • Monday, June 15 @ 3:00 PM PDT - Orpheum Theater (Local Time)

If you know of any others, let me know!

You don't get to keep loot unless you can safely extract, and the game seems to encourage team killing and loot stealing. That was not the preview of The Division that I wanted to see. Ugh.

Ubisoft press conferences are a great way to exercise those cringe muscles.

Agree completely. Looks like a pretty shitty experience if that's most of the missions.

That was an awful conference. They didn't even show gameplay for Assassin's Creed. This conference was as bad as EA's.

I meme have no meme idea meme what you are mememememememememememememe talking about.

I loved when not Usher grabbed her hand but she refused and he had to walk up the stage alone, this was my favorite one so far for all the wrong reasons.

For Honor seemed fun though, regardless of how the game turns out that CGI trailer was super cool.

For Honor could turn out awful but it looks fun. I'm just glad Ubisoft is making a big budget game that isn't a shooter or Assassin's Creed. Also, does anyone know why no Watch Dogs 2 announcement? I thought Ubisoft made it clear that there was going to be a sequel.

Ubisoft keeps being inoffensive with their lineup. Weird that there were no Ubiart games. Siege still seems to be the most quality product of their upcoming titles.

Thought this year's conference was the most cringe-worthy since Mr. Caffeine.

As for games, For Honor could be cool but it looks like something I'd really want to get my hands on before buying it, The Division continues to lose my attention after the third E3 in a row and Ghost Recon Wildland's concept sounds cool if they can pull it off.

For Honor looks super fuckin' rad. Nothing else grabbed me though. I think it all looked perfectly fine, just not anything else really up my alley. Ghost Recon seems like it could be cool, but eeeh I dunno, I gotta see more of it first.

South Park didn't show gameplay but made me excited. For Honor looks like it could be very fun. Ghost Recon looks like it is exactly what I expect/kind of want out of The Division. The Division feels like it's going the path of Destiny: touted highly by its publisher/developer as grandiose, but ending up lackluster.

*This is still Ubisoft we're talking about... so I am fully ready for Ghost Recon to... well, you know.

This is exactly how I feel. I really want The Division to be good, but honestly Ghost Recon Wildlands looked better. I have high hopes for The Division because everything I have seen/heard leads me to believe i'll love it, but knowing what Ubisoft has done recently it is hard to get excited about it.

For Honor looks awesome though. II love in these press conferences when they have real gameplay on stage. Makes it look a lot less staged, even if it is.
