Kessler Kam on our Youtube channel

Let's talk about May, the month of L.A. Noire and home page redesigns and the enthusiastic return of Matt MattBodega Kessler as our summer kingtern. You'll notice this summer we're doubling down on our focus on community and behind-the-scenes video, photos and especially, hazing. It was a lovely May, we began our 2011 Internship program. Already the two bear cubs, Corey and Ben, have taken over managing our Youtube and Facebook pages, uploading trailers to the sites and clawing away at the Screened and Giant Bomb wikis.

On the other side of the community pond, you guys continue to build out great wiki pages and make retarded community content.

Some of you asked me over twitter (@red_lamp) for some specific data and here's what I could get screenshots for. The browser break down goes, Firefox 38.9%, Chrome 33.7% and IE 12.7% of traffic to Giant Bomb. A whopping 65% of weirdos who do use Internet Explorer user version 8. So there you have it.

I spoiled this for myself by looking at your profile as you were uploading the images! Nooooooo

Surprised to see so many Firefox users still, I keep hearing complaints but it works fine for me.

Are you going to put one up for Screened?

Holy cow I thought I would be higher than third with over 10k wiki points. 40k in one month is crazy.

Oh, come on. I don't comment that much. Surely the rest of you can do better.

Hasn't linkyshinks been gone for months? How is he on there?

#9 Posted by lead_farmer (1076 posts) -

Didn't know people still used IE.

I met someone at college who used IE. Friends don't let friends use IE.

Shame on you if you use IE.

Could you infiltrate the Civil Service & convince them to use decent web browsers, please? ;)

#15 Posted by Halberdierv2 (1988 posts) -

nice. how soon till the May one for AnimeVice?

#16 Posted by ArbitraryWater (12970 posts) -

How is it that Linkyshinks is still on the most viewed list despite having been banned for like a year at this point? I guess that's the fallout from still being one of the top posters even now.

At least the Video_Game_King is a bigger forum whore than me. Damn, I guess I had a bunch to say last month.

#18 Posted by Mento (3278 posts) -

I'm going to be on one of these things someday. As soon as you add a "most sarcastic posters" graph.

Because it's so likely the Top Men will find a way to quantify sarcasm for an infographic. Why wouldn't I expect that to happen.

Damn straight, I am. Hell, CL60's known a...wait...what's this? I've dropped off the blogging leaderboard? Huh? Hell, the entire blogging leaderboard seems to have been dropped. I wish to know if my hatred of SpongeBob beat Zombie Pie.

I never make it on these list and graphs.

#24 Posted by mracoon (5087 posts) -

@Marino: I caught a point gamer using these graphs before too. It's really easy to spot when someone gets a ridiculous amount of points in one month.

I see I'm listed as a top wiki contributor this month. I'm surprised, given the computer troubles I've been having lately that eventually drove me to the 3DS Internet Browser.

Speaking of which, attempting to view the full versions of those images in the Internet Browser is a painful experience. So I only looked at the wiki contributor chart.

#26 Edited by Yanngc33 (4551 posts) -

Hell yeah! I'm in three of these this month :D

#27 Posted by nunami (118 posts) -

Thanks for posting some of the analytics. It must be nice for the web devs and designers to have users who are using newerish browsers. It's Interesting to see some of the stats especially compared to some large corporate websites who still have 10-20% of users accessing their sites on IE6!

#28 Edited by Guided_By_Tigers (8020 posts) -

I use Pale Moon browser I wonder if the system just counts that as Firefox....also my username is so long it got partially cut off in the wiki tasks closed graph.

#29 Posted by Guided_By_Tigers (8020 posts) -
@Marino: And here I was hoping it was just a guy abusing in-article images, plagiarism is so boring.....but I guess its quicker to do a copypasta than to manually add a ton of superfluous pictures into the article to rack up them wiki points!

Number two in wiki edits for the month, first time I have shown up in one of these graphs I think!

Take that, ZombiePie! I got more profile views than you and I didn't even blog this month. Ha!

Also, how did linkyshinks profile get 1000+ hits? That guy has been banned for months!

Hitman is not the Illuminati.

But he is a conspiracy theorist, which is far more relevant than whatever the hell Linkyshinks did (piss off the staff?).
#41 Posted by Guided_By_Tigers (8020 posts) -
@Video_Game_King: The Illuminati does not target conspiracy theorists....they are simply a secret society and they caused Linkyshinks to get a lot of views.
