I was tempted to make a combine request for them, since they seem like slight variations on the same concept. Just that Boost is more suggestive of racing games, and Speed Boost is more about platformers and things (even though the game associations don't follow this reasoning at all.) Are they redundant or am I missing something?
Difference between Boost and Speed Boost?
Boost is something that you use like Nitros. Speed Boost is something that is on the ground that when you go over it you get the boost. So they are not the same mechanic at all as while they cause the same outcome, they require the player to do something different to get them (sort of like how a switch and a key can open a door - but they aren't the same concept). This should be represented better in the pages though.
Wow yeah, the Boost description looks like it's written by someone in the marketing department. It does not explain what the concept actually is and actually makes it more confusing.

But there already exists an object page for Boost Pad. Doesn't that cover what you're saying Speed Boost refers to?
According to the Speed Boost page, it can also be the result of activating a power or collecting a power-up, which sounds a lot like nitro.
