Name this Metal Gear Solid 2 themed concept? (MGS2 spoilers)

In MGS2, Raiden follows the orders of a commanding officer, only for it to turn out to be an antagonist A.I. Construct. The same thing happens in a certain 2013 release, which will go unnamed for anyone who unbeknownst to them is planning on playing it.

I assume it's happened in other video games too, so what name should be given to this concept?

Yeah but Remember Me isn't happening specifically so that the protagonist can become the protagonist that everyone wanted!

But that isn't the first time that a C.O. in a Metal Gear game turned out to be a traitor. Being an A.I. had nothing to do with it.
