As the title says really; Should releases be added for games in Early Access on Steam? It doesn't seem right to use a normal release listing while a game is still in Early Access. I thought there might have been a platform for "PC (Early Access)", "PC (Beta)" or maybe a checkbox or something, but couldn't find anything. Is there any way to distinguish them?

Concepts are neat and all but they really add very little to the collection of useful and specific data like a PC version that was released as Early Access or an Open Beta release or something like that.

@def: I agree, and would honestly be all for the release date being when it went up to Early Access, but I have a feeling others do not feel the same way.

Was there a consensus on this ever? Should PC release date be the early access date?

edit: looks like it was answered in the wiki thread that it should be the release date for the 1.0 version of the game.
