The PSP's AdHoc mode: is it Local or LAN multiplayer?

I'm looking at my PSP collection and thinking about filling out the wiki some more. I'm just unsure if AdHoc mode is considered local or LAN. Also, does the existence of AdHoc Party mean AdHoc modes are also considered Online multiplayer?

I would say AdHoc is LAN because it requires everyone to have there own system to play, and local is people playing on the same system. And i would go by what the game can do natively, because otherwise any LAN game would be considered online if you use a tunneling program, which is basically what AdHoc Party is.
