Sorry if there is a more appropriate forum for this question. I have found a few pages that are straight copy/pastes from other sites. I would like to flag these pages as such, to help keep the content here fresh and expose the losers trying for free points. What's the preferred way of doing this? I have just been editing the page and replacing all the copied text with a message and a link to the original content.
What is the preferred method for flagging plagiarism?
That is probably the best way - just edit the article and replace all the text with "Plagiarized from <insert site here>" OR write your own text in it's place and note in the Moderator notes that the original was plagiarized from the site and you re-written it...
Yeah, I'd say just redo it yourself for the time being, though I'm sure solutions to that kind of thing are coming.
Here's the most recent one I found for the game Disgaea: Hour of Darkness...

"Here's the most recent one I found for the game Disgaea: Hour of Darkness...Good fine, seems some folks don't understand that you can't copy paste stuff

I moved the topic to Editing and Tools, as it seems to fit better here.
We don't have an official way to report copyright violations just yet, but please refrain from replacing the content with just a notice and submitting, as that only adds to the queue. I think for now we can keep this page open as a "citizen journalism" page and we'll keep an eye on it for stuff.
Thank you!

There are more examples, however it's becoming obvious by cross referencing page edits who is most likely responsible for a good deal of these. I'm sure the mods can easily verify this and take another look at this person's submissions. There are more from the suspected user, but I will not continue to post these unless they appear to originate from a different user.
Send a PM with links like the ones effiay's post to a mod or two should work. But like another mod said, putting in the already ialready long queue isn't the fastest way to go.
Hate to say it, but the text in the Uniracers article is plagiarism.

I'm pretty sure both pages are ripping the text directly from the instruction manual's intro, as well (though I can't prove this at the moment, since I don't have the manual at hand). While it's cool and all, it's not original, and without proper citation it's plagiarism.

I think he's gotten all of his points from copying web pages. That really irks me =/
Wow. This kingmaster even stole from a quiz generator.

Also, more and more people are using cheap and sneaky ways to get their points count up. Although there does seem to be a bug floating around inflating point counts, I highly doubt that's the reason why someone gets 1500 points for a page with only 50 images and no text, while I get 500 points for a page with 250 images and some text. That person must've cheated, and it's easily explainable how.
Since this has been brought back up, why does Kingmasters still have his high amount of points?
Giantbomb's "Champions Online" page:
http://www.giantbomb.com/champions-online/61-21508/
Plagiarised from Wiki:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Champions_Online
Much of the beginning of the page is plagiarised directly from the "Characters" section of Wiki. The rest of the article only has a few words changed from a lot of wiki's description.
"LethalKi11ler copied an entire FAQ and posted it on the The World Ends With You page. He didn't even bother to change the font from Courier New to Arial.whoa thats not necesarily true. Look at the ssbm page or chrono trigger page. I have over 5k points in ssbm and i think 2kish in chrono trigger sure there isnt that much text,(actually there is) but i gained a lot of it by redoing lengthy articles. I never saved articles and some people kept deleting my ssbm stuff so I just did it again and thinking about it I would always write much more then I had before. When someone deletes your things you dont lose points. So with your opinion that would mean anyone with over 500 points in a game that doesent have alot of text/no text or pictures is cheating. That would mean Most of the people would get banned including me. I earned my points
