The selection this time around seems about the same as Horizon 2 to me, style wise and amount of songs. I've been bouncing between Hospital Records and Future Classic mostly. I've also found the Groove music feature pretty easy to use and I'd say it works 90% of the time. I look forward to eventually knowing the soundtrack by heart like I did after putting so much time into the first two Horizons.
What's your go-to radio station?
As far as my old man ears are concerned, Pulse, Bass Arena, and Hospital Records are all the same damn dance music. I saw Blink 182 on Vagrant, so I skip past that. I have zero interest in rap (sorry, hip hop) or classical music. The other station is some independent thing?
I don't see a lot of skill songs because the radio is usually OFF.
The soundtrack mostly bites shit. Epitaph has a few good tracks (Touché Amore, Joyce Manor, Bad Religion) surrounded by shit, almost everything else sucks. The hip hop station is the most tolerable.
Timeless ... 20-minute skill songs.
Hah. Didn't even consider this.
Usually Pulse, but it is yet again not as good as the Pulse tracks from the first Horizon.
Horizon 1 still has, pound-for-pound, the best soundtrack in the franchise, Motorsport and Horizon games combined.
I don't stick with one, I like a little on each, but my most listened to are Pulse, Block Party and my custom Groove playlist filled with Eurobeat
@thatonedudenick: Hmm, this may be my new go to station now.
I don't really have one right now. I tend to hop through them randomly.
Though I will stop on Block Party if "X Gon' Give It To Ya" is playing, because duh.
Kinda wish there was another way to play custom music (don't feel like paying to listen to things I already own) but oh well, I can just play songs from my laptop with speakers attached to it I suppose.
@capum15: You don't actually have to pay for Groove or activate the trial, you can upload music to your OneDrive and create a playlist in the Groove app on Windows 10
Epitaph because Pennywise and some other half decent punk. I created a Groove Playlist last night that will be my go to now though.
@dinosaurcanada: Oh really? Nice. I should probably set up a OneDrive sometime then, thanks!
I'm a big drum & bass fan, and a fan of Hospital Records in general. So I do tend to mostly listen to Hospital Radio, even though I've listened to most of the music on that station too much on my free time already. I really wish that the Groove integration would have some sort of shuffle function.
Vagrant and Pulse are my go-to's but I'll stop at Block for DMX and Run-DMC. I was really excited for the Groove integration, even if it's only for the 2 week trial, but not having it shuffle makes it useless. Hundreds of songs in my playlist and I'll only hear the first handful over and over again.
Mostly Pulse and Bass Arena, with some Future Classic and Hospital Records peppered in here and there.
Yup
Does the Groove service let you easily share and subscribe to other people's playlists? I made a downtempo/electronic style playlist that I've been adding to periodically:

Which ever one plays Chvrches.
BURY IT RISE ABOVE
Pulse and Bass Arena. Vagrant when I need a break from dance music. I also have about 30 songs on my Groove playlist, which are good but I know them well enough that it's mostly just a backup plan.
Epitaph. I'm usually not into that kind of music, but it really does it for me in these kinds of games. Similar to how Burnout Paradise is the only situation I would ever listen to Avril Lavigne's Girlfriend.
@stordoff: That's gotta be my favorite thing about the custom radio station; you can hear the festival bumping your music and it fades in between menus too.
Not sure I want to pay for Groove though since I already do for Apple Music.
This song has been getting a lot of plays.
