I know the 80GB is no longer Backwards compatible but what about the 160GB.

not that i know of, the 80 gig and 160 gig are not BC with ps2, since ps1 is down to software emulation now theres no need for hardware from ps1.

The ps2 is hard/software emulation now. So no the 160 gig is not bc with ps2.

-sigh- This is the one thing really holding the PS3 back for me. I don't want to have to sit my PS2 next to my PS3 in order to enjoy games like TimeSplitters and the Suikoden series.

I'll give it a little time I guess. After all, the PSP took a while to get PS1 emulation on there, but it did happen.

yeah it totally sux, im glad i have a 60 gig but regardless its shitty they took ps2 BC out they had no reason too except to save money but its common course with sony they add a bunch of ports and promises to their system then over time revise them out.
