Mass Effect 2?  Bayonetta?  Super Meat Boy?  That's just personal favorites off the top of my head.

You just can't remember past July. A ton of good games came out this year. ME2, SSF4, meat boy, Bayonetta, Pixal Junk Shooter, the list goes on.

I'm gonna disagree with you there, even though I have only played a few 2010 games. Mostly 2009 ones. Catching up.

Of course it did, you're using a console.

WRONG.

@AnimalFather I wouldn't even put the two games you mentioned in the top five

ME2 just as ME1 sucked imho. Bioware hasnt taken the next step into developing a story. Your guys just stand their and you have to go up to them one by one instead of having a more immersive way of communication like over the dinner table....its was too repetetive. go to a mission come back walk around the spacecraft talk to everybody next mission rinse and repeat.

"ME3,"
You might wanna correct that before the vultures arrive

Anwyay OP: Splinter Cell Conviction, Fallout New Vegas, Call of Duty: Black ops, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, ArmA 2: PMC and CATACLYSM HOOOOO

It was a bad year for my wallet.

I thought Red Dead was really boring. Mass Effect 2 was really good, and I'm happy with Gran Turismo 5. Scott Pilgrim and Super Meat Boy were good downloadables. Haven't really put Civ V through it's paces yet, but it seems pretty good so far.

So, in my opinion, 2010 was average. It had less "wow" titles than usual, but it was still pretty solid.

If that's how you feel, then I'm sorry. You should probably go find a different medium for entertainment if you thought this year sucked for games.

Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, Gran Turismo 5, God of War 3, FFXIII, BlazBlue: Continuum Shift, Recettear, Scott Pilgrim, Castlevania: Lords of Shadows, Enslaved, Halo: Reach, Fable III, Amnesia.... dear lord. How could you possibly say this year sucked for games. Maybe a specific genre didn't get a certain quality of titles to your liking. But games in general? You're just being over-dramatic.

Next time try actually putting some effort into making a constructive topic that has some actual discussion value. A single short sentence, without any original commentary or explanation to back up your opinions, is not a productive environment for a discussion to take part.
