2013 Most Anticipated Games

Well, I know: it would probably be far easier to make a list of the games I am not interested in, and, yes, I did not even buy/play all the games on last year's wish list (some of which were just rented)... Also, I plan to buy a PS Vita and a (Japanese?) 3DS a bit later this year, if possible, which would still enlarge my yet too long desirable games' list.

Remind me if I have forgotten something (Activision?, Betheseda?) --yet my experience tells me that this list tends to stretch through the year anyway (with all the Arcade and Indie and Google play stuff to be added later on). And with Sony seeming the most active, it will also be (of course?) yet another pre/sequel year of great past titles, but no matter:

I most expect Madden to come out in 2013.

I don't know that you can necessarily expect an English version of Yakuza 5 this year. I'd absolutely love for that to happen, but Sega hasn't been in great shape lately, and so far as I know they've made no mention of any version of that game outside of Japan. I would not be the least bit surprised if they just stopped bringing those games over, and this was the one they stop with.

But I hope I'm wrong. I'd love to play that game.

yeah i hope it gets a western release aswell but i dont think sega have money problems if they spent $22 MILLION on relic lol

I think this list is missing Tomb Raider. The new TR and Bioshock are the two games I'm looking forward to for this year so far.

I think you mean most anticipated, since most expected doesn't make any sense. "Why, yes, I'm very much expecting BioShock Infinite to exist this year. It should very much be a thing."

@MooseyMcMan: Well, I hope too Relic has been worth buying, and more surprisingly so as the Warhammer series is really quite a Western one.

@Video_Game_King: Point taken: actually there are quite some games (in the list) one cannot be sure they'll really come out this year (Metro: Last Light after having bought by Koch, Prey 2 having been due already last year, etc.).

While we're on that subject, I'm not even sure if The Last of Us is coming out this year. The wiki says "May", but I just saw GameTrailer's Top 10 Most Anticipated Games of 2013 and found myself asking "Where's the gameplay footage for The Last of Us".

@MooseyMcMan: Actually I think there wil be an "English" release (as usual: English text, Japanese audio), but even consider to buy the Japanese one instead of waiting until december...

You've....pre-ordered Crysis 3? But..... wh-hy?

Cyberpunk is scheduled for 2015/16, not later this year.

@OfficeGamer: Actually I loved the previous releases, Crysis, Crysis Warhead, Crysis 2 (I played twice), and I too got a discount for pre-ordering via Origin.

Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon for the 3DS is scheduled for March and Animal Crossing for the 3DS will be out in North America before the end of Q2 if not Q1. Fire Emblem is out in two weeks on 3DS and that thing looks rad. Then there is the release of Pokemon X and Y if that is your thing.

Not really a huge Nintendo fan, but I noticed a lack of representation there, even though you mentioned you are getting a 3DS (protip: play Super Mario 3D Land).

Essentially this list exactly except for The Last of Us cause I ain't got no PS3. I'm pretty excited for Dead Space 3 and South Park so lets put those on here too. Also can the new consoles count as most anticipated?

@VintAge68: If you read the hidden message that pops up on the trailer, the developers say they're first working on an "obvious open world follow-up" (the Witcher 3) for 2014 that will be announced in February and after that they'll put more of a focus on Cyberpunk, which they estimate for 2015.

GTA5 PC is all I really want the most this year the not knowing factor sucks I'm sure it will come to PC but probably in the fall god I hope the wait isn't super long.It's going to be a awesome year for gaming really need to get a new PC next year also I'm super interested in the Oculus Rift someone should make a lawnmower man tech demo with it.
