24 Hour Gaming Marathon! Am I Crazy?

So i've been planning this since last year but never made any attempts. It just seem like it would be a fun challenge to do. Three years ago I tried a 6 hour marathon and eventually realized that it wasn't an accomplishment.  But I think this summer I'm going game for 24 hours straight.  I already have infamous, killzone 2, lost odyssey in the lineup. If anyone wants to join, just post here, we can set a date and keep updates or something.

it's really up to you guys, we don't have to play the same games. And i'm not going to stick with one game either. 

I remember beating KOTOR in one sitting back in the day. Oh to be young(er) again!

You should pick a single game and try to beat it in 24 hours, like GTA IV, or Mass Effect, or Fallout 3, or something like that. 

As long as it isn't WoW as that would be too easy to play for 24 hours straight!

i can't even last more than 3 hours let alone 24.

whats the point of this marathon?? its stupid and can be potentialy harmful.

I dont think gaming for 24hrs is good for your health at all. Fatigue will set in and you could get carpal tunnel. If i go for about 3-4 hours non-stop i start not feeling like shit.

I don´t think doing one marathon is gonna do some serious damage to you. I have had worked on the computer for more than 24 hours (not fun) and didn´t record any damages.
Just be sure to take a good break after it.
As for the games, I would go with what AgentJ said. Pick a single player game with a rich, good story and finish it. Or at least get pretty far.

Hmm, maybe I should try that. I could beat two games in one day, no doubt, if they were the right games. But what types of games?

I really think you should just play Desert Bus for 24 hours.

24 hours isn't very impressive. Go for 88.

24 hours seems like a lot.  I don't think I could do that.  But 6 hours is next to nothing in my book.  Back when I used to play WoW I did 20+ hours on occasion and 16 hours regularly.  Since I quit, my average sessions last about 6-8 hours with extended sessions running over 10. 

I think it might be cool to try and do a 24 hour marathon, but with the stipulation that I need to change games every two hours and games may not be repeated during the 24 hour period.  Mmm...yeah, I'm not going to do that.   But, good luck with your attempt.
