Holy fuck-me-running!!! Only $400?! I mean, for someone who is planning on getting a 360 and Forza 3, that's a fucking AMAZING deal!!! If you are simply looking to upgrade, I'm sure you'll be able to nab a 250gb hard drive online or from a game store at some point.

Game installs, demo's, XBLA games like Shadow Complex nearing the size of full retail games, things like Forza 3 requiring installs to access portions of it's content, etc. True, 120gb should be more than enough, but if they take the 120 down to the price of the 60gb one and introduce the 250 at its old price, then they'll finally have got things right.
At this point I'm just WAITING for my launch 360 to red ring so I can justify buying that bundle. And wtf?!!! Is that what the dollar exchange rate is right now? I wish there wasn't so much tax and shipping on everything so I could get my import on. Oh, you lucky americans have such sweet deals...
It's a load of crap if true, like this is what gamers need from 360 right now. What they need is a stable console that is not likely to break at any moment, not a larger harddrive.
Seems like a reasonable price compared to the Elite if you want that stuff. But you got the price mixed up a bit. The article says the equivalent is $397 not $379.
Thats an awesome deal! If it comes out i´m buying it to replace my 360 pro, because it has the bigger HDD and HDMI ports. I´ll be buying Forza 3 anyway so that makes this an even better deal.
If this costs 279 euro over here (in europe) that usually means its the same price in dollars. The 360 elite costs 249,99 euro over here (which is arround 360 dollars) and in the US you pay 299,- And it is only because of the recent pricedrop. Before it was the same price euros to dollars. I think Amazon will have a similair deal in the US...
Maybe a bundle with a steering wheel, that would be nice Microsoft!?
it is the reason why microsoft is getting rid of the 60gig model. it's alright now that they are doing this. they should upgrade the hardware instead of just adding more memory to it. who needs a 250gig hard drive, i'm happy with my 20gig one. i don't buy anything from the market place and games on demand is a rip off from the actual hard copies.

Sounds about right. Personally i think the prices MS are asking for their HDD's are fucking atrocious, at least Sony had did the right move by offering their users the option to get their own HDD's and not be bound for a Sony make.
