32Play Cabaret! Podcast - Episode 3: A Tangential Salt Mountain

Okay disclaimer time:

I have only been playing League and Dota for just over a month. I am not very good. This is the story of me trying to get better with the help of two friends. We decided to produce a blog and podcast about that and many other things. Please cringe and applaud at the appropriate times. Be prepared for salt and whining about secret shops and Blitzcrank. Don't take things too seriously and enjoy watching me squirm.

Following on from my previous blog series 'Learning by Comparison' this series will be about free to play games - League, Dota2 and Warframe in particular. We will discuss other games..probably..but those will be our focus. At the moment there is a heavy focus on League mostly because of patch/new champion and we all play it but I'm hoping to slowly introduce more Dota, eventually.

Adam, Chris and I rattle through some of the games we've been playing this past week including Amazing World, Endless Space, Pillars of Eternity and Sword Art Online...oh and P.T.

We then move on to League, discussing the Gnar changes coming up and throwing the spotlight on Chris' choice of Diana and Ryze..with some Karma love thrown in for good measure.

Dota is Dazzle all the time, with some talk of our favourite champions.

Warframe is discussion of the Gamescom announcements and possible burnout.

We end with a conversation that goes everywhere and in the end says nothing..especially about FFXIII.

Learning League:

My first Karma game didn't go to plan..at all. There was a lot of argument before the game started about positions and..well it speaks for itself. I should probably apologise to Olaf as he was right about the fact that nobody was bottom lane so obviously they would come mid but...some wards would have been nice. Never mind eh?

These two videos probably say EVERYTHING you need to know about low level Dota play. I don't claim to be any good at anything but..damn son. Also weird thing that while I was playing the first game I didn't see Gyro AA ever..it just didn't register on my screen which is why I was so baffled. Video recorded it but I never saw it.

Path of the Tenno

Adam continues his journey into the land of the Space Ninja Simulator. This time he looks at his choice of Warframe and load out.

Once again Adam goes where no one else would to take a look at Amazing World on Steam..an FTP MMO where you...walk into things and they go 'Poof'?

Adam takes a look at Secret Ponchos and finds much to like.

After playing PT I got that itch to go back and play what many consider to be the best Silent Hill game.

and finally what happens when Revengeance and Dark Souls get together have some tequilas and take the piss out of Resident Evil? Ninja Blade...that's what.

As an Addendum to the Diana talk:

Another problematic matchup is probably Ziggs and Orianna to a certain degree. Ziggs simply because he is able to deny space so easily with his minefield and his auto attack harass via his passive. Orianna can do the same with her Ball, though post 6 it might become favourable for Diana. Also don't take what I say for granted at all, most of it is based on personal experience and probably doesn't apply to your game experience at all.

Editing software is so expensive :O

I still don't know if and what I want to do... I think Warframe gets covered ok by the other two salt miners and League stuff... eh.. Play by play commentary turns either the commentary or the gameplay south so I probably have to mess around with some editing software to splice in some commentary post... why oh why are these things so expensive.
